Spruce Grove Regals Junior B Hockey team in Spruce Grove Alberta, Canada.

Plays in the Capital Junior Hockey League(CJHL) made up of players from Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and area The Spruce Grove Regals were formed in 1985 and play in the Capital Junior Hockey League (CJHL) governed by the Amateur Hockey Association (Hockey Alberta). We provide an opportunity for players to continue to play competitive hockey after graduating the Minor Hockey System. Our Mission:

- To provide a positive and competitive Jr B Hockey experience
- To promote leadership, strong work ethic, and community pride.
- To develop players to reach their highest potential as hockey players.

The goal horn still works. Turns out you just have to feed it. 🚨

The West-leading Mustangs left the Fuhr last night with a 4–3 win, but the boys made them work for their Friday night.

Down 2–0, Joelle Alexis got the horn warmed up before Owen Bashow buried a penalty shot to tie it. Just him, the goalie, and absolutely nobody available to blame if he missed. Beauty.

Edmonton pulled ahead again, but Nathan Johnson answered on the power play with 33 seconds left in the second. 3–3 heading into the third. Top line was flying, the building had something to yell about, and the horn was probably wondering if it qualified for overtime pay.

A Mustangs goal with 3:10 remaining spoiled the ending. Shots finished 42–27 Edmonton, with the Regals matching them 11–11 in the third.

The stands also delivered our BIGGEST 50/50 POT OF THE YEAR! Thank you to all you gambling degenerates. Some came for hockey. Some had a retirement plan involving a roll of tickets. We appreciate every one of you. 🎟️

That one stings, but there was plenty to build on.

🚨 GAME DAY | THE GANG’S GETTING BACK TOGETHER! 🚨

BREAKING NEWS: The Regals have officially been released back into society. 🚔😂

Suspensions served. Timeouts completed. Apology letters probably still in the mail. The boys are back, and we’re told they’ve learned their lesson.

That’s adorable. 😏

A few of the walking wounded are back on skates too, with some game-time decisions coming. The medical room is starting to empty, and the penalty box is hopefully NOT taking reservations tonight. 🤞

The boys have something to prove tonight. The Mustangs might have the record, but records don’t block shots, win battles, or take a cross-check in front of the net.

👑 FINAL: JETS 6, REGALS 2

An 8:30 start, and we still could’ve used a wake-up call.

Rozin Lowry and Nathan Rose supplied the goals, both on the power play. Tied 1–1 after the first, we were in it on the scoreboard. Unfortunately, the scoreboard was doing some fairly generous PR work.

Outshot 49–17, we spent too much time defending and made sure the penalty box never felt lonely. Having your teammate’s back matters. Being available for his next shift is also a lovely gesture.

There were boys emptying the tank tonight. We need that effort to become contagious. Move your feet. Make the simple play. Win a puck battle. Nothing fancy—just the stuff that makes the other team actually have to work for it.

Still missing bodies, but energy, discipline and a head held high don’t require a full roster.

Helmets off to the boys who kept digging. Now we need everyone grabbing a shovel. 👑

Tuesday night. 8:30 puck drop. A 45-minute drive to Morinville. Whoever scheduled this clearly doesn’t have to get up for work tomorrow. 🥴

The Regals head into Jets territory still missing bodies, but the boys making the trip have a little unfinished business after Morinville spoiled our home opener.

Short bench. Long night. Plenty of reason to show up cranky.

Our penalty kill is sitting at 91.8%. Nice number. Still doesn’t mean we need to keep giving it homework.
