Ward recognizes the positive impact that dance, as a physical activity & art form, has on heart health, fitness and mental well-being. As such, the programs at Ward continue to expand, helping students of all ages stay active and dance to the beat of their heart. While much has changed during our 50 years of business, our professional staff remains dedicated to providing a friendly and positive atmosphere for both dancers and their families, in Spruce Grove, AB and the surrounding area. Ward now boasts an online software system allowing parents/students to pay fees, see class schedules, sign up for workshops. We offer classes for students ages 3 to adult, in a wide variety of disciplines including jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary, stretch and preschool - from beginner to advanced levels.We are pleased to offer our students both festival (competitive) and non-festival(recreational) classes that run from September to May.

There are fabulous dance teachers, choreographers & classrooms at every dance studio. How can you make sure you’re making the right choice for your family?
1) Values - what does the studio stand for? Check out their website, social media, etc to get a feel for what they value and support.
2) Location, location, location - just like buying a home, where your dance studio is, matters! If your child loves dance, you will be driving there… and back… a lot! Are there other amenities nearby?
3) Get a feel for the studio - ask for a tour, meet the owners, talk to community members or ask on local chat sites.
4) Costs - class fees may be pretty similar everywhere but ask about extraneous or “hidden” fees like costumes, festival or competition fees, rehearsal fees and ticket fees.
5) Check out demos, assessments & drop ins - lots of studios offer free classes or assessments in addition to inexpensive drop in classes over the summer. This is great opportunity to “try before you buy”!
