Friends of fb, I need your help.
My neighbour was putting this vintage cast-iron and wood park bench on the curb, I immediately was transported to Cuba and their beautiful park benches so I brought it home.

The leaf-and-acorn backrest is metal as well. This is heavy!

I have no idea how to refurbish this! Should I take the slabs off to sand it or just keep them on the bench? Or maybe it is better to replace them?

What tool should I use? What paint? Any advice would be so appreciated it! I have 0 idea what to do with it! But I see the potential and wanna bring this bench back to life. ✨

I’m no longer impressed by curated fitness content.

I’m inspired by women who balance full-time careers/school, children and busy life while still showing up for their health but I’m specially inspired by women over 50 who are training for the future: to stay independent, to stay mobile, to stay strong enough for real life.

Because showing up consistently at this stage of life takes a level of discipline most people will never understand.

I shared on my story couple pictures from June 21st of last year. Me and Dana at the 108 sun salutations event, but what I didn’t share is how we ended up there. Dana is from Edmonton and I hadn’t seen her in a couple years.

Well, the night before, on June 20th, I was driving my kid and her friends to Activate on the west end. I noticed that a black truck was following. Now I watch a lot of true crime so I was getting freaked out a little bit. So I finally pulled over at the parking lot of Activate and I tell the kids “stay in the car” while I was getting out to confront the creep that had just parked behind me. But guess who got out of the truck? DANA! 😍 She has recognized my car and was following me so she could see me! 😂 She said she was prepared to drive all night long because she wanted to give me a hug so bad! Awwwww!!! ❤️

Dana and I did our Yoga teacher training in 2019, in Mexico. I know people think that because we were in Mexico, we probably had a lot of fun but in reality we spent 90% of the time inside the house learning and practicing yoga. 200 hours. And not only we learned about yoga, we got to learn about each other and we grew very close. Even tho, we don’t keep in touch, I honestly see these ladies as sisters, and I’d follow them around as well if I were to see them driving by, no matter where.

While the kids were playing at Activate, Dana and I went for a little shopping nearby and a coffee, I then invited her to the 108 sun sals and she said yes. 🙌🏼

Now you know the story behind those pics from last year 🥰 And here are some more of our time in Mexico.

If you know me, you know I hate shopping, so online shopping is what I do but I guess that besides being antisocial or an anxious person, I’m also an idiot because idk how to properly order! 😝 I either buy too much or not enough!

My husband and I laugh at this all the time and I tell him: well you didn’t marry me for my brain, let’s be honest! 🍑

Anyway, if you wanna come over tonight for supper and eat some delicious coleslaw salad, let me know! 😉

*ps, I don’t consider myself an antisocial person because I do like people and I love talking but because I do so much socializing at work, I need to recharge my battery by isolating.
Idk if that makes sense.

Do you celebrate the small wins? No? Well, YOU SHOULD! 😉

Here is a raw moment when I realized I was using 12lbs for my shoulders lateral raises. Normally I use 5lb or 8lbs but today I used 12lbs! WHAT!! 😱 Yayy me! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

I encourage my clients to recognize and celebrate the small wins instead of solely focusing on the end goal. This habit shifts your perspective and you then begin to appreciate the little steps. 😊

I think sometimes we underestimate how demoralizing it is to only celebrate huge milestones. Most of life happens in between. 🫶🏼
