Attached are photos from the Western Championship in Westlock on the weekend. The Twins went one win and three losses against the best teams in Western Canada. The Cartwright Twins from Manitoba were the winners. The Parkland Twins will now finish up league championship play against the Westlock Red Lions. Game one goes Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Westlock, with game two scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Henry Singer Park in Spruce Grove. If needed, game three goes in Westlock at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Parkland Twins have advanced to the final round of the North Central Alberta Baseball League play-offs after a thrilling, 8-6, come-from-behind victory last night in St. Albert. They will now face the Westlock Red Lions in the final series. But first, the Twins are off to Westerns, starting in Westlock on Friday.

Game day! Game one of the NCABL Championship series goes tonight as we host the Red Lions at Henry Singer in Spruce Grove. First pitch goes at 6:30pm. Admission $6, kids 10 and under get in for free.

Come support the Twins as we try to reclaim the league title.

Thankfully our season is not over. Starting Friday night the Twins will open up the NCABL Championship Series at home in Spruce Grove at 6:30pm against the Westlock Red Lions. Game 2 will be played at 2pm Saturday in Westlock, and back to Spruce on Sunday for game 3 if necessary.

The Twins go 0-4 on the weekend in Delta. We played some very competitive games against some excellent competition. There couldn’t be a better group of guys to go to battle with. Thanks to all the guys we picked up for making the trip and making it an awesome weekend.

Congratulations to Twins manager Kevin Poeter who has won his second career Manager of the Year award in the NCABL!

Governors Mike Cassidy & Joe Pasychnyk also accepted the Servus Cup which is presented annually to the regular season pennant champions.

The Twins are headed back to the finals!!

Game one saw the Twins offence explode in a 20-2 beating of the Orioles. Jake Moger gets the complete game victory in the 5 inning affair.

Game two in similar fashion as game one the bats were hot once again with homeruns from Mike Cassidy and Jake Moger. DJ Collins also showed up huge and was inches away from a grand slam which ended up being a 3 RBI double off the wall. Zaine Foth-Thomas and Hayden Rake shut the Orioles down for 3 innings a piece and Vaughn ”Ricky” Rempel capped off the 7th.
Final score 18-3.

Game one of the Finals will go Friday August 23rd. Opponent will be decided tomorrow. As Westlock and St. Albert finish up their series.

Next up the Twins will travel to Delta,BC as we will be competing in the Western Canadian Senior AA Championships. First game August 16th vs. South Delta Brewers at 2:30pm.
