This student of mine plays tennis and is recently recovering from a grade 2 tear on his hamstring. Its almost a month now and he is recovering well. He is amaaaaazing!! He has always been fit and watches his health. Getting injured doesn’t mean you’re weak.. unfortunately it’s part of living and especially when you do sports, but if you take care of your fitness.. recovery will be easier. Its not just about physical strength but that mindset you get to build to fight such circumstances. I don’t fear injuries.. What I fear the most? Is to just allow my body to age the wrong way!

Getting older doesn’t mean getting weaker. It may be harder but it’s always possible to be the best version of yourself.❤️

Hard work pays off! Its been awhile since my last structured run. Believe me I don’t love running but what I love about that is no matter what I will force myself to show up on my trainings before work, mid days, after work (I am not an evening person so thats hard😂).. Discipline and dedication plays a huge part. I can’t rely on my emotions. Motivation comes and go. What do you do when you are not motivated at all? You just show up. What do you do when your body is aching? You lower the intensity of your training. What do you do when your knees hurt? I don’t run but I walk longer. What do you do when you have a full day at work? I try not to sit and walk and stand the whole day. Life happens but your goals shouldn’t be set aside.

I am proud of myself for not letting my body slow me down. I worked harder compared to 20yrs ago. I ache longer. Everything is just way way different. I have started to adapt. Changed my routine. Changed my approach. I am happy I finished strong! Now time to up my mileage because there’s no way but moving forward now! To a
