It doesn’t get easier after two years. We just miss you more. 🩶 We get better at feeling numb or at keeping distracted, but when we’re left in the silence, it’s as devastating as it was 2 years ago. We can still hear your unmistakable laugh and see that smile in our mind’s eye. Faith tells us that death isn’t the end of the relationship, that you’re still looking down and watching your nephews and niece grow. I know if we could still see and hear you you’d be laughing your ass off at your niece’s tenacity and you’d be your nephews’ biggest fan and the best coach. We know you’ve been at every practice, every game. Sometimes the grief takes over and it blurs our faith as the tears fill our eyes, but you were a man of faith and you’d want us to keep our hearts focused on the knowing that one day we will all be together again. In the meantime, thanks for continuing to look out for us. We love and miss you so much, son, brother, uncle, nephew, coach, friend. The world is still a better place because you were in it and because of your impact on us all. We love you, Darin.
