What an amazing community we live in ❤️

The support we've received since our May long-weekend break-in has been truly humbling. From people returning to the course for the first time in years, to first-time visitors enjoying a meal at Pennydale Junction, to the many individuals who have contributed to our GoFundMe fundraiser, your support means the world to us🥰

🏌As a volunteer-run, non-profit golf course, we rely on the generosity and goodwill of our community. The encouragement, donations, kind words, and patronage we've received over the past few weeks have reminded us just how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring and supportive community⛳

While the theft and damage were discouraging, the overwhelming response from our members, neighbours, local businesses, and supporters has far outweighed the negative impact of that incident. Your kindness has reinforced the important role Valley View Golf Club plays as a community gathering place in the Slocan Valley.

Ice Breaker Tournament a Success Despite the Weather!

Several teams braved the elements at our Ice Breaker Golf Tournament last Saturday, which certainly lived up to its name! Players faced wind, rain, and even a hailstorm as they made their way around the course.

Congratulations to all of our participants! Finishing in first place was the team led by Kyle Kabatoff, followed closely by the teams led by Leanne Kabatoff and Dustin Armstrong. Rounding out the top four was the team led by Terry Barkman.

Thank you to everyone who came out to play, cheer, and volunteer – especially our greens crew, cart maintenance team and fundraising committee members. Your enthusiasm, dedication, and support helped make the day a success.

The tournament concluded with a delicious gourmet meal provided by Pennydale Junction - BC.
