This month, we are proud to recognize Coach Stef as our Coach of the Month.

For more than a decade, Stef has been a cornerstone of the PCF community. Starting as a member, becoming a coach, and even co-owning the gym for a period of time, she has helped shape the culture that makes PCF what it is today.

A notable accomplishment for Coach Stef this season was qualifying for an In-Person SemiFinals and competing at the Torian Pro in Australia, where she snagged an event win in the 1RM Sn**ch! 🏋️‍♀️ Enjoy these photos of her competing down under. We all witnessed Stef’s dedication and hard work towards this achievement and are very proud of all that she accomplished!

🎉 Member Spotlights: Alex and Brian, 500 and 100 Classes!

Today we're celebrating two incredible milestones. Alex has reached 500 classes, and Brian has hit his first 100!

When Alex joined Peninsula CrossFit, his goal was simple but powerful: stay healthy, stay active, and age well. Like many people, he wanted to make sure he could keep doing the things he loves for years to come.

Five hundred classes later, the results speak for themselves. Alex has gained strength, improved his flexibility and mobility, built lasting healthy habits, and has more energy for work, family, and travel. Along the way, he's also discovered something just as important: a community he genuinely enjoys being part of.

One accomplishment he's especially proud of is the progress he's made in both flexibility and strength. And if you ask him what keeps him coming back, his answer is simple: he loves the atmosphere here.

We're also excited to celebrate Brian on reaching 100 classes! After some encouragement from his wife Michelle, he took the leap and got started. Since then, he's shown up consistently, put in the work, and become noticeably stronger. His commitment and steady progress are a great reminder that amazing results come from simply showing up and sticking with it.

Alex and Brian, we're proud of everything you've accomplished. Thank you for being such valued members of our community and for showing what consistency can achieve. Congratulations on 500 and 100 classes. We can't wait to see what the next milestones bring!

🎉 Member Spotlight: Kat, 1000 Classes Strong!

When Kat joined Peninsula CrossFit just before turning 50, she had a clear goal in mind. She wanted to age well, stay active, and start building strength again after years of ultra running and racing.

She had tried CrossFit before, but balancing it with competitive running was tough at the time. When she came back to PCF, she was ready for a new chapter and committed to investing in her long-term health and fitness.

Now, 1000 classes later, Kat is stronger, more mobile, and more consistent than ever. From handstand walks and rope climbs to continuing to improve her power cleans and clean and jerks, her progress has been incredible to watch. 💪

But what stands out even more is the impact PCF has had beyond the workouts.

> “I feel so comfortable at PCF, it’s my second home. The community is incredible. I consider them my family and have developed some pretty awesome friendships since I’ve been here.”

Over the past five years, fitness has been more than just training for Kat. It’s been a source of strength, support, and stability through life’s ups and downs. Her consistency, positivity, and resilience inspire everyone around her, and we’re so grateful she’s part of this community.

On Monday we took on “MURPH” - a CrossFit Hero workout performed by CrossFit gyms around the world each Memorial Day, named to honour Lt. Michael Murphy and all those who have served.

At PCF we are a community each and every day, but on days like this it’s especially prominent when we all come together to sweat hard, work hard, and share in these moments together. It’s why one of our core values is to “LOVE & UPLIFT”. The last one to finish is the one with the biggest crowd cheering them on.

RECIPE: EGG ROLL IN A BOWL 🍽️

This recipe was originally shared by Coach Chrystal and Coach Chloe in our Coaches chat, and it’s become a staple in many of our weekly meal rotations so we wanted share it with y’all too !

In a large frying pan, brown 1 package extra lean ground beef or ground turkey until cooked through.

Add 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1 tsp ground ginger, crushed garlic, 3 tsp sesame oil, a handful of green onion, 275g of shredded raw savoy cabbage (I also sometimes add red barn shredded carrots). Sauté until flavours have mixed and cabbage is soft.

Pour 1 cup of egg whites into the pan (over the meat mixture) and cook/stir until egg whites are no longer liquid.

Voila! Can eat just like this for lower carb, or put over rice noodles or stirfy noodles. This recipe makes 3-4 servings depending on portion size. It’s very delicious, high in protein and low in fat.
