The idea of a local sport Hall of Fame is to establish a organization capable of recognizing local athletes who have had success on a regional, national, or international stage. East Hants has seen many athletes have tremendous success in multiple sports. A local Hall of Fame would be a way to recognize the accomplishments of those in the past and also those of the present and future. A local spor

t Heritage Society would be responsible for recognizing the accomplishments of both individuals, and teams on an annual basis. These individuals and teams may or may not be inducted to the Hall of Fame at a later date, but it the annual awards would serve to recognize all levels of sport.

The East Hants Sports Heritage Society is proud to announce Ty Campbell as recipient of the “Iron Will” award. The Iron Will award is given to someone who shows determination, relentless work ethic and a never give up attitude to bounce back from significant injury or illness. Ty showed all of this after having Brain aneurysm surgery and 7 months later playing for team Nova Scotia men’s fastpitch at the Canada Games. The whole board is proud of you Ty in showing such determination under stressful times and setting an example for other young athletes.

The East Hants Sports Heritage Society would like Congratulate Casey Underhill on being named a 2025 Super Six Winner. The 3 sport Athlete from Lantz had an outstanding year. Casey represented Nova Scotia at the Canada Games in Softball. She also played hockey for the Prestigious Kings Edgehill hockey program while serving as team Captain. and played Rugby.

The East Hants Sports Heritage Society would like to Congratulate Sarah Delorey on being named a Super Six award winner. The Star 5th year Senior from Elmsdale completed her Basketball career at Acadia and was at the top in most Statistical categories in the AUS. This is Sarah’s third Super Six Award!

The East Hants Sports Heritage Society would like to congratulate Elmsdale resident Megan Apostoleris on being selected a Super Six award winner!

Megan won a gold medal at the 2025 World Masters Weightlifting Championships. She also finished 6th in the world at the 2025 Masters Crossfit Games!

Megan has a passion for fitness, for herself, her gym, and her community!

The East Hants Sports Heritage Society would like to congratulate Super Six award winners The East Hants Ryson Jr C Penguins! The Penguins won the Nova Scotia Championship and then went on to Capture the Maritime Championship!
