What a season.
As we wrap up our 3rd season of Sherwood Park Youth Flag Football League, we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to every player, coach, parent, referee, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped make this season our best one yet.
This spring, over 550 athletes took the field across 54 teams, creating countless memories, building confidence, developing skills, and most importantly, having fun. From our youngest Tots players to our competitive division athletes, the growth we witnessed on and off the field was incredible.
This season was filled with exciting milestones. We launched our first-ever Competitive Division, crowned our inaugural U14 Competitive Champions, and introduced our first-ever All Girls Division—an important step in creating more opportunities for girls to discover and thrive in the game of flag football.
A special thank you goes out to our incredible sponsors. Your support helps us provide an unforgettable experience for our athletes and families while continuing to grow the sport in our community. We are grateful for your partnership and belief in what we’re building at SPYFFL.
None of this would be possible without the amazing community that continues to show up week after week, rain or shine, to make SPYFFL such a special place.
While the spring season has come to a close, we’re not done yet. Next up is Summer Camp, where athletes will continue to learn, develop, and have fun on the field. After that, we’ll kick off another exciting milestone—our first-ever Fall Flag Football Season.
