This is our third year at the Icebreaker tournament and the Twilighters did a great job hosting. We had a ton of fun, and walked away pretty happy with our record. Thank you to the Cascadia Masters Rugby Union for letting us join you once again!

Special shout out to Frazer Andiel who was named man of the match(s) for the Antes!

(Next year, I’ll remember to charge the battery on my real camera 🫠 - thanks to the folks who captured the action with their phones!)

Would we have liked to put some points on the board against BC? Yes. Definitely. Did we have an amazing time playing a really great team? Also yes, also definitely! If you scroll to the end of the photos, you’ll see how far we’ve come since our first game in Victoria in October 2023: four women for the Antedivas at that game (shout out to Sandra Maris, Siân Match, Tricia Hamm and Jody Virr, our OG OGs and our matriarchs). We had 15 Divas take the field this year: long time players with skills and a few of rookies. We’re excited to continue to grow the old girls game in western Canada, along with a fun rivalry and friendship with the BC Selects! Next year, we’re gonna win …

On July 26, the Antediluvians were honoured to join the Strathcona Druids Rugby Football Club, Rocker's Athletic Club - Women's Rugby, and other friends to celebrate the life and legacy of Scotty Wright with the Wright family. All ages touch rugby, a men’s contact 15s game and some women’s 7s games were played - food, music, and memories were shared!

We were so excited to play the Saskatoon Wild Oats Rugby Club’s G.OATS, but the insane rainfall of the past several weeks means we’ve had to make other plans.

We’re still hosting though: join us to watch Canada Soccer MNT take on Morocco at the FIFA Men’s World Cup and pregame for the real show - Rugby Canada’s men’s team taking on Spain at Clarke Stadium at 7PM.

We’ll be at the clubhouse shortly before 11AM and ready to enjoy July 4 as we should: celebrating Canada. 🇨🇦
