I’m so grateful this year for so many things. All of the warm wishes and love, both stated, and expressed by family and friends; the cuddles of my little dog Maddie; my celebration this weekend with my hubby; the happiness and support I get from my work family; the return of my
Strength and power in the gym - to name only a few

But most of all, this last year was so frightening, heavy, and heartbreaking - I’m honestly just grateful to be alive

That my son and I are both celebrating cancer free is the greatest gift I could ever have asked for, and I am so blessed. Facing my mortality was one thing, but staring at his was more than I could bear. And I am thankful every single day that we were allowed to survive that. That we were protected and loved and healthy and cancer free.

Wow. There is no greater gift.
