Hi I’m Star! 🐾🐶⭐️

I'm about 3 months old. I'm a fixed,  female who is good with cats,  kids, and other dogs.  I was found living in a pipe on a farm with my siblings. Our mum was nowhere to be found.

My foster family describes me as bright, engaging, and beautiful. I'm a natural leader with a fierce personality. I have boundaries and defend them aggressively with the other dogs.

I do live with other dogs, and I like to play with dogs my size and much larger with no issues as long as they respect me.

I do really love people! After all, they are the ones who took us in and kept us warm and fed and showed us what love is. I really like to snuggle up on your chest. My foster mom says I'm really smart and food motivated. ⭐️

This is so cool! Can everyone give us a try and let me know what happened for you? I was absolutely able to fold deeper when I imagined the smell of rain.

It was a slow abandonment. It started with inhaling to say something and then your exhale catching in your throat. It started with just walking away and letting it go again and again and again because it was never worth the fight to feel seen or to get your point across. You stop saying what you want to do or to do or anything that you hoped for for fear of being rejected and not having your needs met. You started wanting to have something to do for yourself by yourself without having to explain it to anybody. When you took the time for yourself, you were made to suddenly feel guilty for taking too much planning too much doing too much for yourself and not enough for your family. It was a very slow degradation. And erosion of who you thought you once were. A realization that you’re not actually sure who you ever were because you were always trying to please. That if you please someone enough, they will love you in return. This is the coming home. This is where you accept that it is OK to choose yourself. You choose yourself and at first it feels weird and raw and causes doubt. And then you start to feel a little bit better. You will learn to choose yourself. You learn to love yourself. You will learn that you learn these lessons more than once.

Archaeologists have found one of the oldest settlements in North America.

An 11,000-year-old Indigenous settlement has been uncovered near Sturgeon Lake First Nation — and it may rewrite North American history.

The site, located along the North Saskatchewan River about 3 miles (5 kilometers) from Prince Albert, is now among the oldest known Indigenous villages on the continent. Researchers from the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Calgary are working with the Âsowanânihk Council — a group of Elders, youth, educators, and archaeologists — to study and protect the discovery.

This wasn’t a temporary hunting camp. Excavations have revealed fire pits, stone tools, and charcoal layers — suggesting long-term settlement and fire management practices. Remains of ancient bison, including the extinct Bison antiquus (which could weigh over 4,400 pounds or 2,000 kilograms), point to advanced hunting strategies and knowledge of the landscape.

The presence of these materials supports longstanding Cree oral histories, which describe the area as a cultural and trade hub for generations. According to researchers, the site’s age and complexity challenge outdated assumptions that early Indigenous societies in the region were solely nomadic.

Dr. Glenn Stuart of the University of Saskatchewan says this work raises questions about long-held migration theories like the Bering Strait hypothesis — and affirms the deep time presence Indigenous Peoples have always spoken of.

"This isn’t just archaeology," said Chief Christine Longjohn. "This is truth, memory, and proof. Our ancestors were here — building, thriving, and shaping this land long before history books began to notice."

Plans are underway to create a cultural interpretive center and land-based learning programs for youth. But the site faces threats from nearby development. The Âsowanânihk Council is now calling for urgent protection and national recognition.
