The Strathcona Bruins are proud to announce the appointment of Justin Pawlenchuk as Head Coach for the 2026–27 season.
Justin brings an exceptional track record of coaching success and player development to our organization. Over the past decade, he has built a reputation as one of the most respected coaches in the region, with experience that includes 2 years at the U-15 AA level, 1 year at U-16 AA, and an impressive 7 years with U-18 AA programs. Most notably, Justin served as Head Coach of the Strathcona Warriors U-18 AA team that captured back-to-back provincial championships during the 23-24 and 24-25 seasons—a testament to his leadership, consistency, and ability to elevate his players to compete at the highest level.
His commitment to excellence, strong hockey IQ, and passion for developing athletes both on and off the ice align perfectly with the values of the Strathcona Bruins organization. Justin’s teams are known for their discipline, work ethic, and competitive edge—qualities we are excited to see brought to our bench.
We are incredibly fortunate to welcome a coach of Justin’s caliber to the Bruins family. His proven success and leadership give us great confidence as we look ahead, with our sights set firmly on building a championship-contending program.
Under Justin’s guidance, we are excited about the future and look forward to competing for a CJHL league championship in the near future.
