Some journeys are less about perfect and more about perseverance, and Tammy’s is a great example of that.

Over the years, Tammy has faced setbacks, changes, and challenges that could have easily knocked her off course. Instead, she’s remained resilient and continued to show up. Whether it meant modifying around an injury or adjusting through life’s busy seasons, she always found a way to keep moving forward.

Tammy reminds us that commitment isn’t about never facing obstacles—it’s about finding a way to keep going despite them.

Her hard work, resilience, and determination have earned her a place on the 500 Committed Wall, and we couldn’t be more proud of her accomplishment.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, and father figures in our Sou’Wester community.

Being strong isn’t just about what you can lift. It’s about showing up day after day for the people who count on you.
Taking time for your health isn’t selfish—it’s one of the best examples you can set. When your kids see you making time to move, train, and take care of yourself, they’re learning the value of commitment, discipline, and self-respect.

Little eyes are always watching.

🏆 MAY COMMITTED CLUB 🏆

We’re a little late getting this one out, but between preparing for and hosting our Open House, the first week of June got away from us. Rest assured, we didn’t forget! 😊

Each month, we recognize members who achieve 12 or more check-ins in one of three categories:

⚓ Anchor Room Committed Club – for members consistently showing up and putting in the work in our open gym space in the Anchor (or Engine Room).

💪 Group Classes Committed Club – for members attending our coach-led classes and making fitness a regular part of their routine.

🔥 Combined Committed Club – recognizing members who are utilizing both the Anchor Room and Group Classes and accumulating 12+ total check-ins across the facility.

Why do we do it?
Because consistency matters.

Results don’t come from one great workout or one perfect week. They come from showing up over and over again, even when you’re busy, tired, travelling, stressed, or simply don’t feel like it. The Committed Club isn’t about being the strongest, fastest, or fittest person in the room—it’s about building the habit of taking care of yourself.

💙 PUSH FOR YOUR T**H – SATURDAY, JUNE 13 💙

At Sou’Wester Athletics, we’re proud to support Anne Perry and the incredible work she continues to do through Test for Toby.

What started in 2020 at Sou’Wester with her goal of raising just $500 finished its first year at $4,280. A few short years later, the event has grown into one of the top Push For Your T**h fundraisers in Canada, raising more than $36,000 last year alone.🙌

It’s pretty amazing to see what Anne, her family, volunteers, and supporters have built right here in Shelburne.

This year’s goal is $30,000, and they’re already at $23,140 raised.

Join the community next Saturday at the Shelburne Community Centre / Fire Hall to help raise awareness for colorectal cancer, support research and education, and honour Toby’s memory.

What an incredible day at our Open House!

We lost count, but we know that well over 50 people came through our doors—many of them new faces—to tour the facility, try out equipment, ask questions, and learn more about what Sou’Wester Athletics has to offer.

It was fantastic meeting so many of you, sharing our space, and having the opportunity to show you what we’ve been building. We hope this was just the beginning and that we’ll see many of you back again soon.

A special thank you to our amazing members for helping spread the word, inviting friends, family, coworkers, and neighbours, and encouraging so many people to come check us out. Your support means the world to us.
