Misty's You First Community Finding a way to workout amongst a crazy busy schedule and mom life and wish to share with you! I'm a very busy happily married mom to 5 kids.

I'm mom to 4 girls and 1 boy. My oldest daughter is in the Canadian Forces. I have a adult daughter with severe autism her challenges can be great but the determination to provide for her is far greater she teaches me to be a strong advocate for her as she's unable to speak. I work full time outside the home. I've struggled with my weight for years never lost the weight after pregnancies. My eatin

There are days when you will wake up sore and say nope not today. That certainly was me this morning. My arm is sore and was upset with me yesterday. I did rest a lot so don’t tell me I’m doing too much cause I’m not. I listened to my body I moved my body, I fuelled my body and I rested my body. Yet this morning I still woke up sore. But still I got up and pressed play. I modified and I lowered my weights. And I stretched. And I feel so much better doing so. There will be good days and there will be hard days it’s the journey and embracing and loving on yourself for doing all that you can each day. Not getting discouraged just reminding yourself each minute each hour each day is a fresh restart. Let’s push thru the excuses and the negative self talk and love ourselves thru the journey! Damn I love the feeling after completing something that was tough. Especially first thing in the morning before life takes over. Such an amazing feeling to reflect on the last 30 minutes and how I was hot, wanting to stop, wanting to modify, wanting to catch my breath and pushing thru all that. I love love love my morning routine of pouring into me. I feel I am a better wife, mother, friend because I poured into me and gave myself attention first! 💕 ⏰ ❤️💪❤️ ☀️

I won’t be the chick with the flat abs... I love my carbs. I won’t be the one who sticks totally to plan for eating I like my sweets 🍫.
But I am the chick who will show you how to show up when you feel you don’t have time in your day to do it. Believe me I have a busy home with 4 kids and a grandson who’s 4. I work full time outside the home too. I am the one who will show you that showing up and working out can make a huge difference with aching bones and how to just try for 1% better than yesterday. I know how to love the non scale victories than the number on the scale. How to not allow that number on the scale to defeat your progress. Life is for living, life is for loving 🥰 and life if for learning to make yourself a priority amongst all the crazy 😝 in your life. I may not have the flat tummy but I sure have some awesome leg muscles forming and damn I am proud of that!!!

How often do we try and cover up our flaws?

How many times have you said nope can’t wear that!

Have you said to yourself that it’s life we all get bigger and it’s my age I can’t lose weight like I used to?

I certainly have said all of the above and then some to myself for years. That it was the baby weight I could never lose for over 12 years 😑.

In the past few years I’ve been struggling having all the resources available to me but not following thru using them or going in half assed. Well about a month ago I started reading a few books and listening to some podcasts and yeah I am really starting to make the slightest switch the smallest pivot but I’m doing it!

Finally taking the baby steps each and every moment working on bettering myself from the inside out.

No longer wanting to hide my fluff I want to keep it real as I know I am not the only one who has or is feeling this way. Wanting to share my journey thru the good and the bad and the somewhere in between stuff in hopes of someone else who may be feeling the same way I’ve been feeling for years.

We’re not stuck we’re not destined in that way we just have to finally believe in ourselves that we are worth it and that self sabotage, procrastination, etc is all fear wanting to keep us small and the same.

So happy hump lump bump rolls day!
