We’re excited to introduce Doug Gleed, PGA of Canada Professional, as our new Teaching Professional here at Hawk Ridge!

With decades of experience in both instruction and golf operations, Doug brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the game that will help golfers of all levels improve and enjoy their time on the course even more.

Doug’s journey in golf began back in 1972 and has included leadership roles, course development, junior golf programming, and years of hands-on teaching. From building Innisfil Creek Golf Club, Canada’s first 12-hole course, to running instruction programs and junior camps across Ontario, Doug has dedicated his career to growing the game.

His commitment to player development runs deep — including supporting junior golfers through tours and programs, and even raising three children who competed at the varsity level, including a collegiate golf scholarship athlete.

First group out on The Island… and yes, it still feels like an island 🥶⛳️

A little chill in the air, but that didn’t stop this crew from kicking off the season the right way out on Hawk’s Island.

If you’re going to brave the elements, might as well do it somewhere this good.

Huge thanks to these legends for getting the Island started and embracing the early-season vibes with us.

Cold hands… warm swings… and a great way to open the year.
