Ravin Nauth made his presence felt against top-seeded Victoria Park CC, producing a crucial 86 off 79 balls to help power Ceylon to a massive 301.

In a rain-shortened contest decided by D/L, Victoria Park put up a valiant fight, but ultimately fell 89 runs short as Ceylon secured another important win.

Ravin has been remarkably consistent in the few opportunities he’s had this season, and performances like this continue to show that he is a top-quality young talent with a very bright future.

MATCH DAY | CEYLON CC vs MISSISSAUGA QALANDARS

It’s a massive one today as Ceylon Cricket Club takes on Mississauga Qalandars with the playoff race heating up.

Qalandars sit just outside a playoff spot, while a Ceylon win today would put us in a strong position in the push for the postseason. Every point matters from here.

A little rain came down this morning, but the outlook for the rest of the day is cloudy hopefully giving us enough of a window to get the game in.

Captain Dilesh Thurairatnam returns to lead the side, while Razon Rahman gets the nod as we look to secure a huge result.

The stakes are high. The mission stays the same.

Today brings another important challenge as Ceylon Cricket Club takes on Mississauga Ramblers an opponent currently sitting above us in the standings.

It’s a big opportunity to pick up a win, close the gap and keep pushing toward the playoffs.

But once again, there’s one thing we can’t control… 🌧️

MATCH WEEKEND | CEYLON CRICKET CLUB vs VICTORIA PARK C.C.

After a two-week break, Ceylon Cricket Club is back and ready to continue the campaign!

With 7 games remaining in the season, every match matters and this weekend is another important step toward securing our place in the playoffs.

A back-to-back weekend and two wins would be the perfect return.

🏏 Match Day! 🏏

Ceylon Cricket Club is back in action today as we take on Deccan Chargers.

We’re making a few changes to today’s lineup, with Kavindu Silpage returning to lead the side from the front.

We’re also excited to welcome two talented young players from NCA, Nirav Dhaliwal and Ravin Nauth, into the squad. Both are promising youngsters with bright futures, and their inclusion reflects our commitment to the long-term growth and success of the Club by continuing to invest in the next generation of talent.

Good luck to the boys as we look to put in another strong team performance.

🏏 Match Day is Here! 🏏

After a week off, Ceylon Cricket Club is back in action as we reach the halfway point of the season with our 8th match.

Our campaign so far stands at:

❌ 2 Losses
🌧️ 3 Rain Outs

Today’s challenge is a big one as we take on a very strong Spartans side.

Ceylon will be without regular captain Dilesh Thurairatnam, who is away on vacation, with former captain Jason Shanthikumar stepping in to lead the side. We will also be missing dynamic all rounder Jedd Joseph, who is currently competing at the Windward Islands Trials.

We’re excited to welcome Krishen Missir back into the squad after representing Team Ontario U18 at the Canada Cup in British Columbia, where he impressed with the ball, showcasing his skill against some of the country’s top young talent. We’re happy to have you back!

Every match is another opportunity to grow, compete and represent our club with pride. Let’s leave everything on the field today.

🕊️ Rest in Peace, Sir Garfield Sobers (1936–2026)

Today, the cricketing world mourns the loss of a true icon. Sir Garfield Sobers has passed away at the age of 89, leaving behind a legacy that will never be matched.

Widely regarded as the greatest all-rounder the game has ever seen, Sir Garry represented the West Indies with excellence from 1954 to 1974. Across 93 Test matches, he amassed 8,032 runs at an extraordinary average of 57.78, claimed 235 wickets, and inspired generations with his brilliance on both sides of the ball.

His unbeaten 365 remains one of cricket’s most iconic innings, while his historic feat of becoming the first player to hit six sixes in a single over of first-class cricket cemented his place in sporting history.

More than the records, Sir Garfield Sobers embodied excellence, humility, and the spirit of Caribbean cricket. His impact transcended statistics and generations, inspiring millions around the world to love the game.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, former teammates, and the entire West Indies cricket community.

Rest easy, Sir Garry. Your legacy is eternal. 🏏❤️🖤💛💚
