How many of you have been told that bacteria is bad for you? 🤨🦠

Truth is almost less than 5% of them are classified as harmful, and the rest are typically neutral or very beneficial for us. The beneficial kinds of bacteria live in our guts and we need these to process and absorb the food we eat!

Sauerkraut is incredibly nutritious and healthy for our gut. It provides probiotics and vitamin K2 ( helps with bone and heart health). A spoonful of this will boost your immune system, and improve your digestion helping you lose weight!

Eating foods high in fibre such as vegetables, legumes, whole grains and fruits are another great way to increase good bacteria in your gut!

To reduce inflammation in the digestive tract, you’ll need to add more anti-inflammatory foods! Remember, your food choices are just as important as medications and supplements you may be taking for your overall health.

The foods listed are great examples of anti-inflammatory foods, however if you’re still having some trouble- The Mediterranean Diet is a great example of a anti-inflammatory diet! The focus is on fruits, fish, whole grains, vegetables, and limits on unhealthy saturated fats, butter, and refined sugars or carbs!

Statistics show that more than 60% of women live a relatively sedentary lifestyle and do not engage in the recommended amount of physical activity 🫣 It’s time to change that ladies! Taking small steps to increase our fitness levels have tremendous positive outcomes! It reduces our risk of heart attack, betters our moods, and lowers blood pressure 💜
