Algoma Sailing Club is excited to offer a Kids Sailing Camp from:

Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28, 2026
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily
Drop-off: 8:30–9:00 a.m.
Pick-up: 4:00–4:30 p.m.

This week-long camp is a great opportunity for kids to learn the basics of sailing in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Participants will be introduced to sailing skills, boat handling, water safety, teamwork, and confidence-building on the water.

The program will follow a CanSail format with qualified sailing instructors and training boats brought in from Little Current Yacht Club.

Cost: $275 per child
Location: Algoma Sailing Club
WAITING LIST.

No previous sailing experience is required — just a willingness to learn, have fun, and get out on the water!

We are looking for summer staff to work with our lead instructor teaching our Youth Sailing program. Applicants must be 14+ and enjoying working outdoors and the water. The positions will last a total of 7 weeks and the position will be at Low Island in Little Current with some travel to Gore Bay and Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. Successful applicants will have an opportunity to earn Ontario Sailing instructor certification. Please contact us for more details.

It’s never too late to learn something new! Our adult sailing lessons are designed for beginners and intermediate sailors looking to improve their skills. Enjoy evening classes with our knowledgeable instructors who will help you navigate the waters with confidence.

CANSail programming is designed to be a set of progressive Learn-to-Sail standards focused on providing sailors with a solid foundation of core skills. The CANSail system allows sailors to learn and progress in any type of boat and consolidate key skills before adding more complex skills. This year, we are proud to be offering CANSail Levels 1 thru 4!
