Baseball is a sport skill. Athleticism is the foundation that supports it.
This offseason, our 9U Black Sox spent time building movement patterns, body awareness, balance, coordination, strength, and athletic shapes before worrying about wins and losses. Why? Because players can’t consistently hit, throw, field, run, or slide if they don’t have the physical tools to get into the positions those skills demand.
Every swing, throw, ground ball, and sprint requires athletes to create and control specific shapes with their bodies. The better their movement foundation, the easier it is to learn and execute baseball skills.
The result? More confident athletes, better movers, and players who are prepared to adapt to the endless situations the game presents.
And yes… sometimes development looks like a competitive sliding game that leaves everyone laughing. ⚾🔥
