Continuing our recognition of the local teams and organizations we’ve had the privilege of supporting this year, we’re proud to highlight our sponsorship of the Sask Rush Ball Hockey team at the 2026 Western Challenge Cup in Edmonton.

The tournament gave these young athletes an opportunity to represent Saskatchewan, compete at a major championship, and build valuable lessons in teamwork, sportsmanship, and supporting one another.

NATIONAL CHAMPION!

Yesterday, our Athletic Therapist Seanna Marie capped off an incredibly busy week at the CBHA Premier A & Masters Ball Hockey National Championships with a Gold Medal and National Championship with the Saskatchewan Mammoth!

Seanna had one busy week, serving as the Athletic Therapist for three Saskatchewan teams at Nationals — the Saskatchewan Buffalo Ball Hockey Club, Sask Sabers Ball Hockey Club , and Saskatchewan Mammoth Masters.

She worked hard all week keeping Saskatchewan’s athletes patched up, healthy, and ready to compete.

What an awesome way to finish the week — as a National Champion!

Congratulations Seanna and the entire Saskatchewan Mammoth on bringing home the GOLD!

Message from Coach Ryan

After taking some time to reflect on the Western Challenge Cup in Edmonton, I just want to say thank you to all of our players and families for an incredible week.

While we didn't get the results on the court that we were hoping for, we learned a lot about the game of ball hockey and how much attention to detail, preparation, and hard work it takes to compete at that level.

What stood out most, though, had nothing to do with the scoreboard. The laughter, smiles, friendships, and memories created over our five days in Edmonton reminded me that this experience was about so much more than just playing hockey.

Many of these players built stronger friendships and created memories that will last a lifetime. Watching them support one another, have fun together, and grow as teammates made every moment worthwhile.

To all of our parents, thank you for bringing your kids to Edmonton and allowing them to simply be kids. The friendships formed between players, siblings, and families showed what being part of the Rush is truly all about. Seeing those connections made me realize just how worthwhile it was to bring this team together.

To our sponsors, thank you for believing in our team and supporting this journey. Your generosity gave these players and their families the opportunity to be part of an unforgettable experience, and we are incredibly grateful.

To everyone who cheered us on—whether you were in the stands, watching the livestream, or supporting us on social media—thank you for standing behind us every step of the way. Your encouragement meant more than you know.
Finally, thank you to every player for wearing the Rush jersey with pride and representing Saskatchewan with heart, effort, and sportsmanship.

I'm incredibly proud to have been a part of this journey and honoured to have coached such an amazing group.

For our fourth and final round-robin game, we had two very special members of our cheering section help announce the starting lineup.

Brae and Maddy came into the dressing room to introduce the starters and get the boys fired up before the game. These two were a huge part of our sibling crew, never stopping their support and cheering on their brothers all tournament long.

Brae is Ryker's sister, and Maddy is Maverick's sister. They brought incredible energy all week, no matter what the scoreboard said, and kept the fun going at the pool after the games as well.

Thank you, Brae and Maddy, for being such amazing supporters of the Sask Rush and for creating a special memory for our team by announcing our starting lineup. Your enthusiasm and encouragement meant a lot to our players!

The boys came out and battled hard this morning in our final round-robin game. Although we came up short with an 8-1 loss, they never stopped competing right to the end.

Our Player of the Game was #15 Niko Fauchon, who had another outstanding game on the defensive side of the ball while doing a great job moving the ball up the court.

Our Wheat Warrior of the Game was #33 Phoenix Roy. Phoenix won a key faceoff that led to Trace's goal in the third period and played strong, tight defence in our own zone all game long.

While our tournament came to an end today, this group grew together throughout the weekend. The bonds they built, the memories they made, and the lessons they learned will last far beyond the scores on the scoreboard.

A huge thank you to all of our players and families for your incredible support throughout the tournament. We couldn't have asked for a better group to represent the Sask Rush. We are proud of every one of these boys.

💚💛 GAME DAY - WESTERN CHALLENGE CUP 💛💚

Day 3 of the Western Challenge Cup is here, and we have an early start as we wrap up round-robin play.

The Sask Rush take to Floor 12 at 9:00 AM this morning at the Edmonton Soccer Centre South to face the Tri City Warriors.

With 11 teams competing in the U11 division only the top 8 will advance to this afternoon's quarterfinals. The competition has been outstanding all tournament, and our team is ready for one more battle before the playoff round begins.

The Rush will continue to play the way we've built our team to play - with speed, grit, hard work, and determination. Every shift matter as we look to finish round robin strong and ear our place in the championship bracket.






SASK Ball Hockey

We got off to a great start today with the boys fired up after an incredible pregame starting lineup from Joey Tetarenko and Lochlan Tetarenko. Their energy had the team ready to go, but unfortunately the game didn't go our way.

Our Player of the Game was #44 Brock Weyland, who scored our lone goal and worked hard from start to finish.

Our Wheat Warrior of the Game was #18 Abel Kowalchuk. Abel was a shot-blocking machine, played outstanding defence, and battled hard every shift.

We wrap up the round robin tomorrow morning with an early matchup against the Tri City Warriors. The boys will be ready to compete and leave it all on the court.
