RIVA’s next profiled athlete is Jayden Rings.

Jayden was featured back in February, but with the results we’ve seen him put out this summer we wanted to shine the spotlight on him again as we head into a new season!

Jayden is a Grade 12 student at Centennial Collegiate and has been with Riversdale since January of 2025.

✨2026 Highlights
Jayden’s top performances over the past year include a 22.94 in the 200m, a 50.61 in the 400m, and a 54.76 in the 400m Hurdles. His 400m Hurdles performance placed him 4th at Nationals and was a major improvement of almost 7 seconds from his previous season🔥

⚡️2027 Goals
Jayden’s goals for the 2027 season are to run sub-49 in the 400m and sub-54 in the 400m Hurdles. He is also working towards competing at New Balance Indoor Nationals this year.

Since joining Riversdale, Jayden has really appreciated how the coaches push athletes to work towards the goals they set for themselves while continuing to support them throughout the process. He also values the welcoming and supportive environment within the club, where everyone encourages each other to improve.

Outside of track, Jayden enjoys photography and does a lot of photography for Riversdale. He also plays football for his high school and is entering his fourth year with the team, playing defensive end.

The Riversdale Masters athletes continue to perform at a high level and enjoy the amazing experience at the World Master's Championships in Daegu, South Korea.

📣 Riversdale Athletics Club, proudly, has two athletes competing in the World Masters Championships in Daegu, South Korea🇰🇷!!

Congrats and good luck to both Sandi Arnason and Gwynneth Woodson👏

🔥Gwynn has already earned a silver medal in the women 75 category in the 5000m on Aug. 27!!

🎓 Graduate post 🎓

RIVA’s next graduate is Naysa Woods, who graduated from Centennial Collegiate. This upcoming fall, Naysa will be studying Kinesiology at the University of Toronto with the goal of going to medical school.

Naysa will also be continuing her track career at the U of T as a member of the University of Toronto Varsity Blues Track & Field/Cross Country team.

In Naysa’s words:
“My favorite RIVA memory would be impossible to choose. I have found some of my best friends, and have had some of my most memorable moments with the athletes and coaches, whether laughing or crying. The past four years have been my favorite, all because this team is so special, and I will miss them so much.”

Naysa, watching you grow and achieve so much has been amazing. Your dedication, determination, and hard work have taken you far, and we’re excited to see what comes next. Here’s to new goals, exciting opportunities, and all the adventures ahead. Congratulations, Naysa!

🎓 Graduate post 🎓

RIVA’s next graduate is Jersey Lange, who graduated from Holy Cross High School. Jersey is attending the U of S in the fall, where she has been accepted into the Edwards School of Business with plans to become a lawyer.

Jersey will be continuing with track as she moves on to be a member of the U of S Huskies Track and Field team.

In Jersey’s words:
“My favourite track memory was the last night of 2025 Indoor Nationals when all the competition was done and we all just hungout talking and sharing laughs! Another favourite memory will be our Friday workouts with the team!”

Jersey, we couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve accomplished—on the track and beyond. Wishing you every success and happiness as you chase new dreams and embrace the adventures ahead. Congratulations, Jersey!

Will graduated from St. Joe’s and will be attending the University of Alberta where he will be attending the Alberta School of Business.

Will plans to continue with his track career at the university level as he is a member of the U of A Golden Bears track and field team.

Will’s favourite RIVA memory was the 2025 indoor nationals trip in Toronto.

Will, we are so proud of you and all you’ve accomplished—both on and off the track. Your hard work and determination have taken you far, and we can’t wait to see where your next adventure leads. Wishing you every success and happiness as you chase new goals and embrace all the adventures ahead. Congratulations!

🎓 Graduate post 🎓
Olivia graduated from Centennial Collegiate and will be attending the University of Saskatchewan in the fall. Olivia will enter the College of Education with a focus on Early Middle Years education.

Olivia’s favourite RIVA memory is this year’s team trip to Edmonton and getting to cheer on and bond with her teammates.

We’re so proud of you, Olivia, and can’t wait to see where your next adventure takes you. Wishing you every success and happiness as you begin this exciting new chapter this fall. Congratulations!

🎓 Graduate post 🎓

Casey graduated from Unity Composite High School and will be attending the
University of Regina to take Kinesiology and Health Studies. Casey will be continuing with her track and field career now at the university level with the U of R Cougars track and field team.

Casey’s favourite RIVA memory was the 2025 trip to Legion Nationals and staying at the AirBnB with the rest of the RIVA team.

We will be cheering for you Casey as you begin your next academic and athletic adventures! 💚💛
