Fall Ball Spirit Day is coming up on Sunday, September 20th! We encourage all teams to get creative and have some fun. Last year, we saw some team themes, signs, awesome team accessories, and even team mascots that really brought the spirit to life!

FALL LEARN TO PLAY IS BACK — Registration officially opens September 1st 2026

If your little one was born between 2017 and 2022, this is the perfect (and warmest!) way to fall in love with softball this winter. Six Saturday sessions on the indoor turf, all about the FUNdamentals: throwing, catching, hitting, and running the bases with new friends.

Here’s everything you need to know:

FFun Performance Centre — South Turf Saturdays: Oct 24, Oct 31, Nov 14, Nov 21, Nov 28, Dec 5 $130 — t-shirt included!

Times by age group:

9:00–10:00 am → Under 5 (born 2021–2022)
10:00–11:00 am → Under 7 (born 2019–2020)
11:00 am–12:00 pm → Under 9 (born 2017–2018)
We keep every group to a maximum of 24 athletes so your child gets quality, hands-on instruction — not just a spot on the turf. That cap means sessions fill up quickly, so don’t wait.

Last week to register for Fall Ball!

If you’ve never tried Fall Ball, this is your season to give it a shot. It’s one of our favourites, and the weather is usually a lot kinder than spring rainouts. Teams are built city-wide, so kids get to play alongside teammates they wouldn’t normally meet.

City Playoff Update

Hi softball families, unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans. After all the rain this week (with more in the forecast), our diamonds just aren’t in safe playing shape. With player safety top of mind — and Provincials right around the corner — SMSL has made the very difficult decision to cancel the remaining City playoff games for the 2026 season as of June 30, 2026.

We know this is a letdown, especially heading into the long weekend, and tried everything to make it work despite the weather.
TeamLinkt is also down now, so please share with your softball community so everyone knows the change in schedule.

Today’s City Playoff games are cancelled. We will look to reschedule and play during the week.
