Why I Started Red Bird 🕊️

A couple years ago, I found myself sitting across from a parent with tears in their eyes, whispering,
"How do I even begin to tell my kids that Grandpa is dying?"

I’ve heard versions of that question again and again — from parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, and caregivers — all wanting to protect their children from pain, but also desperately wanting to get it right.

And I get it.
Not just as a Child Life Specialist and End-of-Life Doula, but as someone who’s walked through illness, caregiving, and loss in my own family, too.

That’s why I created Red Bird Grief Care — to offer families gentle, grounded guidance through the hardest conversations and the tenderest moments.

🌿 At Red Bird, I help you find words that feel right for your family.
🌿 I offer tools to help your kids not just cope with grief, but grow through it.
🌿 And I walk beside you — so you don’t have to figure this out alone.
