Congratulations to the graduates of Project Search class of 2026! 🎉 👏

We’ve had the pleasure of having four exceptional young interns at JMFC since September 2025 and were proud to see them “cross the stage” yesterday at their graduation. 🥹 🤝

Over the past ten months, Clarissa, Erik, Jack, and Nick were all part of our JMFC team supporting areas like membership, fitness, facilities, child minding, and food preparation in Child Care. The goal was for them to develop skills in the workplace like responsibility, communication, teamwork, and professionalism. Whether is was a friendly greeting at the desk, helping set up a fitness class, keeping an area clean and tidy, or making sure kids feel comfortable in our care, our Project Search interns did an amazing job helping carry out day to day responsibilities at our Y! ✅ 👍

Thank you to the St. Clair Catholic District School Board and the Workplace Group for their leadership and support of this program, Educators Kelly Goetz and Laura Brown for their caring and guidance, and JMFC mentors Nick Hext, Mike Saunders, Billy Gemmell, Anna Welten, and Tyler Ryan for role modelling positive behaviour in the workplace. 💪 👌

YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth is an overnight camp on beautiful Beausoleil Island in Georgian Bay Islands National Park, where children and youth can build confidence, independence, friendships, and unforgettable summer memories.

We’re inviting YMCA families to complete a short survey about overnight camp, what families look for when choosing a camp, and what helps make that experience feel possible.
