📣 2024 Season Announcement 📣

We are very excited to share this Autumn/Winter offering with you all!

We are doing things a little bit different this year! For fall and winter, we have a beginner and an intermediate 14 week progressive series running
from September 18-December 13 on Saltspring Island.

In this 14 week container, we delve into the art of choreographed group dance.
Together we will create art in motion, tell stories and transform emotions.

Dance is our birth right. Let us move our bodies with love and reverence and remember the language of dance together as women!

At the end of the progressive you will:

🌹 have a completed choreographed dance(s) rooted in story telling and ritual with a community of creative women
🌹have the opportunity and option to perform to a small audience (the collective + close family and friends )

Come to our September 13 trial class where you’ll get the opportunity to dance and learn choreography and feel into which level of class alligns with you

Evolve’s unique shows go beyond mere dance, leaving audiences deeply touched and actively engaged with the profound themes we explore. Join us for our third annual showcase and become part of a journey that celebrates the power and beauty of feminine expression.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all of you who have been following Evolve Dance Collective for the last 2 years or so.

We currently just built our website and are still working on it, but it feels good to have a web page where we can share our passion with the wider world. (www.evolvedancecollective.com)

We are currently looking to add a few testimonials from people who have witnessed Evolve Dance Collective from our last year or the year's before performances.

Are you a female musician with original songs who you would like to collaborate with a group of women dancing together?

Evolve Dance Collective is looking for someone who feels inspired to showcase their songs and have people choreograph to them for our performance coming in June 2024 at Art Spring on Salt Spring Island.

This is not a paid gig, but an opportunity for someone who feels inspired to support a small growing collective of dancing women and that would love to see some of their original songs danced to. We are looking for 1-3 songs at most.

The theme for the show this year is CREATION.

Congratulations to the Fall 2023 Project Grant recipients! 🎭

Through the Grants & Awards Program, Salt Spring Arts supports local artists and projects to build and nurture the creative capacity of our community.

Project Grants focus on the artistic quality, innovation and creativity of the cultural endeavour while benefiting diverse elements of the SSI community. A total of $3,400 will be invested in Salt Spring Island’s arts community through this round of Project Grants.
