Building Better Coaches, One Stone at a Time!

We were happy to welcome a group of dedicated coaches to the St. Thomas Curling Club this past weekend as they worked toward their coaching certification through the Canadian Curling Association’s National Coaching Certification Program!

A big thank you to all the ladies and gentlemen who spent the day at our club investing in their skills and knowledge to help grow the sport of curling. Developing knowledgeable, passionate coaches is key to supporting curlers at every level, and we’re proud to be part of that journey!

Here’s a little peek into today’s training session at the club!

🥌 MEET OUR ON-ICE SPONSORS! 🥌

Have you noticed the sponsor logos out on our ice this season?

Today, we're giving a special shout-out to Doug Tarry Homes for supporting the St. Thomas Curling Club!

As our curlers get ready to slide, sweep and compete, we're proud to have fantastic businesses and community partners supporting our club. Their logos are now part of our sheets for the season, and we're thrilled to have them along for the ride!

So, the next time you're out on the ice, take a look around and see who's supporting your club! And when you see these businesses in our community, be sure to show them some love. A big thank-you to Doug Tarry Homes for being part of the St. Thomas Curling Club family!

🥌 Little Rocks & Juniors are on the ice!

What a fantastic turnout for our first Sunday session of the season from 1–3 PM! Thanks to Craig Carman & Kristine, our volunteers, coaches, and parents for making it such a great day!

This season, we’re partnering with six curling clubs, with rotations starting in January to give our young curlers more opportunities to play, meet new people, and enjoy game-style experiences on the ice.

🥌 Want to help grow the game? Craig and volunteers visit local schools to introduce kids to curling through Rocks and Rings. We’re looking for volunteers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to help out!
Interested? Please reach out to Craig Carman.

Here’s to a fantastic season!

The doors are open, the ice is looking fantastic, and the club is starting to feel like home again!

Our Members Open House evenings gave members the chance to explore the refreshed space, catch up with familiar faces, share a few laughs, and get excited for another season of curling.

After a summer full of renovations, hard work and anticipation, there’s something pretty special about seeing our club come alive again with members filling the lounge, conversations happening around every corner, and that familiar curling-club buzz returning.

The renovations may have refreshed our space, but it’s our members who make this club what it is. Here’s to a fantastic season ahead, great curling, good company and plenty of memories to be made!

Welcome back, everyone! We’re so glad you’re here.

A LOOK BACK AT OUR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

On October 7th, members gathered at the St. Thomas Curling Club for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) an important opportunity to reflect on the past year, review club business and look ahead to the season to come.

One of the exciting features of our newly renovated space? We were able to display the meeting information and financials across all the televisions throughout the club! No matter where members were seated, they had a clear view of the information being presented. It’s a great example of how our updated facilities are making the club more functional for meetings, events and everything in between.

Thank you to everyone who attended and continues to contribute to the success of our club.

Here’s to another great year at the St. Thomas Curling Club!
