When we went to bed last night, today’s forecast was sunny.
When we got up this morning, there was a chance of showers. Now, there’s a heavy shower 🤷
That being said, the radar says it’s suppose to have passed through by the start of our camp this morning at 8:45 am, so we are going to go ahead with today’s Hitting Camp.
Bring something that repels rain, just in case there’s spotty showers this morning!

The 2026 Spring Hitting Camp, postpone last Sunday, 3 May, will take place on Sunday, 17 May, from 8:45 am - 11 am (please note different time, as our instructors Dillon and Tyson have to be in Charlottetown early in the afternoon to play with the Charlottetown Islanders in a Sunday afternoon doubleheader in the NBSBL).

Let's hope the weather starts to cooperate on Sunday mornings!

Due to the current rain, the wet field and the radar and forecast for the rest of the morning, we will have to postpone this morning's Spring Pitching Camp. It will tentatively take place on Sunday, 24 May at 9:45 am.

Our apologies for the postponement of the camps both last Sunday and today. The weather has been poor, but we do realize it is an inconvenience for folks. It's not a decision we take lightly.

Thanks for your patience and understanding folks It's appreciated.

*CAMP TODAY POSTPONED (DUE TO WEATHER)*
Yesterday the forecast called for rain to start around noon; this morning, it's now supposed to start at 9 am (and the radar is looking rough for later this morning).
Based on this and the fact there will be 25 players swinging around aluminum/composite bats, we are going to postpone today's camp (a bunch of players swinging bats hard when everything is wet is not ideal).
Tentatively, we will move it to Sunday, 17 May, but I will confirm that with you within the next couple of days.
Thanks everybody - sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Last Sunday was our first 2026 Spring Camp of the year - fielding!
Despite the temperature being a wee bit brisk, it was well attended, and a lot of topics were covered and practiced over 2 1/2 hours.
It's clear to the instructors that the quality and talent of the young players in Kings County is higher than when they were young ballplayers.

Holy! Five hours after we opened registration, our Spring Fielding and Hitting Camps are full, and our Pitching Camp only has two spots remaining.
As always, we are humbled by the positive response we get for these Camps.
If you haven’t registered but are interested, we will set up a wait list form tomorrow.

Sharpen your skills this spring with Bayside Baseball Camps — led by an elite team of instructors with a combination of high-level NCCP certification with experience at National, collegiate, and senior league levels.

⚾ Hitting – Sunday, May 3 | 9:45 pm – 12 pm

Pitching: Knee lift, leg drive, alignment, structured throwing
Infield: Ground balls, footwork, slow rollers
Outfield: Drop steps, reads, routes
Hitting: Mechanics, bat path, core power, plate approach

✔ Age/skill-based groupings
✔ Instructional + game-like reps
✔ Emphasis on fundamentals AND mindset

Arrive 10 minutes early. Bring glove, bat, helmet, cleats (if possible), water, and dress for outdoor conditions.
