Today, our community came together for 215 Sun Salutations in honour of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People, and in remembrance of the children who never returned home from the residential school system.
Today’s practice was an emotional roller coaster ride that ended in tears of utmost gratitude upon completion of my 215th Sun Salutation.
I am grateful to my body for the work that it did today and the humbling way I had to be the most present in my practice I have ever been.
I am grateful to our online donors for their financial contributions and to the lovely folks who stopped by to donate in person today.
I am grateful to those that came today and unrolled a mat to join alongside me. I felt you with me and your presence added such incredible meaning and depth to the practice.
I am grateful to my crew of volunteers who made the space warm (Nicole), welcoming (Sharon), and gave me the ability to share the practice beyond the walls of the studio (Terran).
While we didn’t quite reach my fundraising goal of $1,000 today, we raised an amazing $600 for the youth and girls program at the Mannawanis Native Friendship Centre and we couldn’t be more thankful for the generosity and support we’ve received.
Every contribution helps make a difference, and we’re proud of what we have accomplished here today.
If you’d still like to support this fundraiser, donations will remain open until midnight on May 31st and the live will available to watch for the next 30 days.
Thank you all, and rest well ❤️✨.
