This class is mandatory for prospective Recreational Program members, and recommended for new Ladies Fitness members. It is usually held monthly.

Team SJGG boxers Matthew Gillis and Suri Pafford are wrapping up their final sessions before heading to Montréal this week for the Boxing Canada U23 Camp. 🇨🇦🥊

For Suri, the work continues as she deepens her preparation for the upcoming World Championships in Montenegro this October.

Coach Joe added:
Another important week of work ahead. It will be great to see Matthew Gillis and Canadian champion Suri Pafford training with our country's top boxers.

Boxing update from Woodstock, NB.

Team SJGG boxer Jacob Vienneau was in action last night. After 3 rounds, he came up short on a close decision loss.

Jacob is our future champion, and with every round, he is gaining more experience. He is the young gun in his division, and he is boxing with the big boys.

We know what it takes to be a champion. Jacob Vienneau is earning his way to 🇨🇦 champion. He will be joining his teammate Suri Pafford on the big team sooner rather than later 💪🏻🥊

We're proud to celebrate another Saint John Golden Gloves alumnus being inducted into the Saint John Sports Hall of Fame.

Congratulations to Peter Britt on your selection to the 2026 Saint John Sports Hall of Fame.

Peter's accomplishments in the ring include:
🥊 2× Junior Olympic Champion
🥊 2× Canadian National Silver Medalist
🥊 Member of the Canadian National B-Team for two years
🥊 International medalist

This speaks volumes. We have the same mission. Create great boxers and develop champions in a real boxing club. We also have many members of the community who train with us and may never compete, using boxing for fitness, but they are part of the team and gain valuable experience.
