Learn to skate, or skate better, for children, youth and adults! Ideal skills start for hockey, ringuette, speed skating or figure skating.

The Saint John Skating Club is a non-profit enriching the community with learn-to-skate and skate-to-improve programs for all ages and skill levels, led by experienced coaches through Skate Canada programs. ⛸ Our coaches are National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certified. ⛸️✨ Thank you for an incredible season! ✨⛸️

Now that we’ve had a chance to reflect on the season, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this year so special! 💙

From welcoming so many new families and growing our club, to launching our new PowerSkate 🏒 program, hosting our Family Skates, and performing at Rockwood Glows for the very first time - this season has truly been one to remember. 🌟

We’re so proud of all our skaters, especially those who stepped onto the competition ice for the first time, and our PreCanSkate and CanSkate skaters who showed amazing growth, confidence, and joy all season long.

A special thank you to our amazing coaches Kaitie, Brianna, Kim, Jillian and Ashlee. Your dedication, patience and passion for sharing your knowledge in a fun, encouraging way is what truly holds our club together. You are not only building strong skaters, but confident, resilient individuals, and we are so grateful for everything you do. 💙

And a huge thank you to our dedicated Program Assistants and amazing volunteers. You are the heart of everything we do, and we truly couldn’t do it without you. 👏

And to our skating families—thank you for your continued support, commitment, and for being such an important part of our community. ❤️

Every step, every fall, every achievement—this season meant something special. And we’re so proud of every single skater.

We can’t wait to do it all again next season! We hope to see you back on the ice! ⛸️✨

As we begin to wrap up our incredible skating season this week, we want to celebrate these last, but certainly not least, Skaters of the Week for the season! We have proudly watched them work hard, have fun, and enhance their skating skills and confidence on the ice.

Thank you to all of our wonderful families for following along this season as we celebrated our PreCanSkate, CanSkate, and Advanced CanSkate skaters. It’s been amazing to recognize the effort, determination and progress they’ve shown all year long.

All of our skaters have come so far this season, and we couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of them. We truly appreciate the support you’ve shown—it means so much and helps our skaters shine. We hope they feel just as proud of themselves as we are of them!

🎉✨ 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗦𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 ✨🎉

We’ve reached the final week of our skating season, which means it’s time for our skaters from all groups to showcase the skills they’ve learned in our end-of-season Showcases! ✨⛸️

We will be hosting two Showcases:
📍 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 – Stewart Hurley Arena
📍 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 – Peter Murray Arena

Our 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 are welcome to participate in either Showcase—whichever works best for them. There will still be skating on Monday, March 23rd as regularly scheduled. During this session, each skater will receive their certificate and report card, in case they are unable to attend either of the Showcases.

The Showcase schedules are posted here and have also been sent by email.

🚨 Please be sure to 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, as it may differ from their regular lesson time.
⏰ Please 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 your scheduled time.

Each skater will take part in a performance circuit, where families are welcome to capture photos and videos of their skater in action. 📸

Following their performance, skaters will receive their certificates and report cards, and we’ll have an off-ice photo area set up to help capture some special memories! ✨

We’re so excited to celebrate everything our skaters have accomplished this season. Join us next week for a great show, some treats, and a wonderful way to wrap up an incredible year! 👏⛸️🎉

A final look back at all the fun times and great memories for our SJSC crew from the Amherst Skate Fest! ✨⛸️💙

Thank you to all of our skaters and parents who joined us there for the first time this year! We were thrilled to watch them bravely put themselves out there, try something new and compete with such confidence. We are so proud of each of them and we are already looking forward to next year!! 💫⛸️

✨ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗻 on her Star 4 performance at the Skate NB / Patinage NB_nb 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀’ 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗦𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗲 in Grand Falls this past weekend, where she placed 6th! ⛸️✨

Jaylin skated beautifully, showcasing the passion and grace she has consistently brought to this routine. Her growing comfort on the ice was evident, even with the presence of a crowd and a group of talented, unfamiliar competitors. While these factors can often bring nerves to any skater, Jaylin delivered a strong performance and carried herself with confidence throughout. 💫

We continue to be impressed by the growth and dedication Jaylin shows each time she takes the ice. She consistently pushes herself and reaches for her goals, and it truly shows in her skating.

Congratulations, Jaylin! We are so incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see what next season brings. 💙⛸️✨
