Today we celebrate Kaitie Crawford, our Head Coach here at the Saint John Skating Club. ⛸️

With over 20 years of coaching experience and a lifelong connection to SJSC, Kaitie brings passion, creativity, and a deep family legacy in skating to everything she does. She’s not only a dedicated coach but also a section-level Technical Specialist for synchronized skating, a mentor to athletes of all ages, and a leader in the development of Skate Canada’s CanSkate program nationwide.

Her energy, innovative teaching, and commitment to her skaters have left a lasting impact—both on and off the ice. We are so grateful to have her leading our team! 💙❄️

💙 We are so grateful to have such a committed, talented, and caring coaching team here at SJSC. Their guidance not only builds strong skaters but also helps shape confident young people both on and off the ice.

🎉 Here it is! The 2026–2027 season schedule is now finalized! 🎉

We know many of you have been looking forward to seeing this year's schedule, and we appreciate your patience as we've been working behind the scenes to get everything ready for the upcoming season.

Whether you're just learning to skate, building your skills, pursuing figure skating, playing hockey or ringette, or looking for a fun way to enjoy the ice, we have programs for skaters of all ages and skill levels.

We may not be back on the ice just yet, but things are already getting underway behind the scenes as we prepare for another exciting season! ⛸️💙

Coaches Kaitie, Brianna, and Jillian were in Fredericton yesterday attending the National Ice Dance Initiative Coach Seminar, offered by Skate Canada / Patinage Canada in partnership with Skate NB / Patinage NB .

Our coaches are always looking for opportunities to grow their skills, strengthen their coaching strategies, and expand their technical knowledge so they can continue to support our skaters both on and off the ice.

We’re so grateful for their dedication, passion, and commitment to our skaters and to the sport! 💙

We are so pleased to support you as you continue to build your coaching career and we are incredibly lucky to have you here at the Saint John Skating Club. Your dedication to our skaters, along with your bright and cheery personality, makes such a wonderful difference in their day!

⛸️ Join us on the ice this season!

Looking for a fun, supportive way for your child to learn how to skate? CanSkate is where so many skating journeys begin and we’re excited to welcome new and returning skaters to our club for the 2026–2027 season!

Whether your child is just starting out or wants to feel more confident on the ice, CanSkate helps young skaters develop their skating skills, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun while they learn.

Skating might become a favourite pastime through recreational skating or the foundation for a future in hockey, ringette or figure skating. CanSkate gives skaters the skills and confidence to choose their own path - and maybe even discover a lifelong love of being on the ice. ❤️
