PREMIÈRE COMPÉTITION DE LA SAISON POUR NOS REMPARTS!

Le 5 septembre dernier, notre équipe de cross-country lançait officiellement sa saison au 44e Cardinal Classic de Plattsburgh State, sur une distance de 5 km. 🍁

Du côté masculin, les Remparts terminent au 5e rang sur 8 équipes, avec une moyenne de 18 min 14 s par coureur.

👏 David Mbala mène la formation avec un chrono de 17:19, suivi de Jeremie Vincent en 17:47 et de Yannick Warren en 17:52.

Chez les femmes, Charlotte Simmons complète le parcours en 24:28, suivie de près par Olivia Lucas en 24:33.

Prochain rendez-vous : 12 septembre, à l’Invitation ÉTS-UQAM, pour le début de la saison universitaire de cross-country du RSEQ.

FIRST COMPETITION OF THE SEASON FOR OUR REMPARTS!

On September 5, our cross-country team officially kicked off its season at the 44th Plattsburgh State Cardinal Classic, competing in the 5K event. 🍁

On the men’s side, the Remparts finished 5th out of 8 teams, with an average time of 18:14 per runner.

👏 David Mbala led the team with a time of 17:19, followed by Jeremie Vincent in 17:47 and Yannick Warren in 17:52.

On the women’s side, Charlotte Simmons completed the course in 24:28, closely followed by Olivia Lucas in 24:33.

Next up: September 12, at the ÉTS-UQAM Invitational, marking the start of the RSEQ university cross-country season.

🏒 OFFRE D’EMPLOI – MARQUEURS·EUSES DE HOCKEY

Le département des sports du CMR Saint-Jean est à la recherche de marqueurs·euses pour les matchs de hockey à domicile des Remparts.

📋 Principales responsabilités

* Opérer le chronomètre et le tableau indicateur;
* Remplir la feuille de match officielle : buts, punitions, tirs au but, etc.;
* Communiquer avec les arbitres pendant et après les matchs;
* Veiller à l’exactitude des informations tout au long de la rencontre.

👀 Profil recherché

* Bonne connaissance des règles du hockey sur glace;
* À l’aise avec une feuille de match, papier ou numérique, et un tableau d’affichage;
* Ponctuel·le, rigoureux·se et dynamique;
**Atout** expérience comme arbitre ou marqueur·euse dans une ligue de hockey.

📅 Horaire

Poste occasionnel / sur appel, selon le calendrier des matchs à domicile.

Les matchs ont principalement lieu les soirs de semaine et les fins de semaine, pendant les sessions d’automne et d’hiver.

🏒JOB OPPORTUNITY – HOCKEY SCOREKEEPERS

The Sports Department at RMC Saint-Jean is looking for scorekeepers for Remparts home hockey games.

📋Main Responsibilities

* Operate the game clock and scoreboard
* Complete the official game sheet: goals, penalties, shots on goal, etc.
* Communicate with referees during and after games
* Ensure all game information is recorded accurately throughout the game

👀 What We’re Looking For

* Good knowledge of ice hockey rules;
* Comfortable using paper and/or digital game sheets and operating a scoreboard;
* Punctual, detail-oriented and dynamic;
**Asset** Previous experience as a referee or scorekeeper in a hockey league.

📅Schedule

Casual / on-call position, based on the home game schedule.

Games are primarily held on weekday evenings and weekends during the fall and winter semesters.

UNE PERFORMANCE QUI SE DÉMARQUE!

Du 10 au 14 août, l’élof Roy a représenté le CMR Saint-Jean au tournoi régional de b***e lente à Bagotville, sous les couleurs des Patriotes.

Et il s’est démarqué!
👉 11 coups sûrs en 15 présences au bâton
👉 4 circuits
👉 17 points produits

En plus de ses performances sur le terrain, l’élof Roy s’est impliqué auprès de ses coéquipiers et du personnel d’entraînement, notamment en contribuant aux échauffements et aux pratiques.

Une belle démonstration de performance sportive, d’esprit d’équipe et de leadership.

A STANDOUT PERFORMANCE!

From August 10 to 14, OCdt Roy represented RMC Saint-Jean at the regional slow-pitch tournament in Bagotville, wearing the Patriotes colours.

And he made his mark!
👉 11 hits in 15 at-bats
👉 4 home runs
👉 17 RBIs

In addition to his performance on the field, OCdt Roy supported his teammates and coaching staff, contributing to warm-ups and batting practices.

A great demonstration of athletic performance, teamwork and leadership.

Les sélections terminées, notre nouvelle équipe de hockey des Remparts disputait dimanche son tout premier match ensemble à Sainte-Julie.

Une première sortie face aux Piranhas de l’ÉTS qui marque le début de la saison.
