We are back in 2026 with the CKNA Canada nationals. It was a really strong weekend for us. In happy hour we were P2, in qualifying we were P4, and in both heat races we finished P3. The final was a hard fought race. We started third but in turn three I was pushed off the track and dropped down to twelfth. Slowly we climbed the order back up to finish P5 on track but after penalties we handed out to the people in front we can home in P3.

This photo pretty much sums up how our weekend at the first round of Coup de Montreal went.
In Friday practice we were sent off track (in the rain) into another kart which bent the chassis out about 60+ mm. We tried to bend it back on the table but it would not stay straight.
Qualifying was the dry session of the weekend and with a bent kart the best we could do was 29th.
In the pre-final I fought hard to finish 22 on track and 20th after others penalty’s were applied.
In the final we had a strong start but the kart did not feel right. As the race progressed my steering wheel became more and more tilted to the right. The kart would not turn to the left. When I got off track I found that my right tie rod was loose and was progressively loosing through out the race. I finished after penalties right where I had started in 22nd.
I know that there was pace to be in the top ten in the final because by lap 3 before the tie rod had fully loosened I was up to 12th place.
We will come back stronger in 3 weeks.

It was a tough weekend at the Canadian Open.
We struggled to find pace through practice and qualifying. We found pace in the third heat with a seventh place. In the pre final we were unlucky and ended up in the back. We started the final in twenty eighth. After having a good start to the race we were up to thirteenth. Unfortunately the motor gave up about half way through the race and I was unable to finish the race. We definitely had pace to make it into the top ten.

Tough weekend at ICAR.
Had a promising result in the pre final with a seventh (.02 off sixth) place but when the two groups were combined we could only hold on to fifteenth in the final.
We will work hard to get on pace for the next race in three weeks at SC Performance.
