Niagara Roller Derby Mission, Vision and Values Statement:
The Niagara Roller Derby league was formed in 2012, and is Niagara's first full contact flat track roller derby league. We are a grassroots, member driven derby organization, which offers and fosters empowerment through athletic and creative outlets for
individuals. Committed to athleticism and sportspersonship, raising awareness about, a
nd furthering the sport of roller derby,
Niagara Roller Derby believes that all people are important and should be treated with equality and respect. Niagara Roller Derby embodies the values of friendship, empowerment, dedication, discipline and a “for the skater, by the skater” philosophy. They demonstrate positive roles for others and act as contributing members of their community, giving back through outreach,
volunteerism and fundraising. Respect –We will treat others with dignity and consideration

3. Sportspersonship –We will strive to support and encourage our teammates while conducting ourselves positively in the presence of the competition, the derby community and the general public.
