Big night tonight in the MMA world. We have a massive Bellator card tonight, with the main event containing Bellator European Series. With that main event having two heavy-hitting woman's Featherweights. McCourt Vs Ruis in Dublin Ireland. Then we have another Bellator card in Dublin Ireland. All the Irish MMA fans must be super excited having two events in one day. With the next Main event in Dublin Ireland, we have up & coming Brent Primus, taking on Scotlands own Chris Bungard. That is a Lightweight bout which should be a very technical fight between those two. Brent Primus has only lost one fight in his career & that was against one of Bellator's top fighters in Micheal Chandler. Primus did beat chandler in the first fight against Chandler with a Doctor stoppage in the 1st Round. Then we have one of the most exciting fights we will probably see this year. It is a UFC Fight Night 168 in Auckland New Zealand. Taking Place in the main event we have two high flying lightweights, looking to put themselves in contender position for that title shot. Both fighters have been skyrocketing up in the lightweight division ranks, and those fighters are Paul Felder & Dan Ho**er. Later tonight we will see both fighters step into that Cage. In Paul Felders last 10 fights he has had his hand raised 7 times, he is riding a 2 fight win streak. With a notable win against probably one of the best if not the best strikers in the lightweight division Edson Barboza back in UFC 242 which was the Khabib vs Poirier card in Abu Dhabi. Then on the other side, we have one of UFC's greatest improvement stories. Dan "The Hangman" Ho**er. Ho**er in his last 10 fights he has won 7. With a notable win over Raging Al Iaquinta, which Ho**er outclassed & worked Al in that 3 round fight. This UFC Main Event card Paul Felder vs Dan Ho**er may be in the conversation for the fight of the year. Two guys who love to just let their hands go locked in a cage with each other for 25 minutes is insanity. We will just have to wait & see tonight!

This past weekend we had an exciting Light Heavyweight bout between two contenders. We saw Blachowicz knockout Anderson in the first round at 3:08. My take on this contender fight was this was a win or nothing situation fight for Corey “Overtime” Anderson. He had a lot to prove to the MMA world and his fans that he deserves that title shot, against Jon “Bones” Jones. I believe Jan Blachowicz is the gatekeeper of the Light Heavyweight division. The fact that Anderson got KO’d in the first round by “The Gatekeeper,” just shows that he isn't the guy that should have the shot at Jon Jones, he hyped himself up way too much after the Johnny Walker fight. Let's all be honest here, Corey got lucky, he caught Walker perfectly nobody could have predicted that.

Ever since that win,Corey has been all over the fact that he's “slept on”, and that he deserves that title shot against Jones. But, what Mr.Anderson doesnt realize is that there are so many other light heavyweights that deserve that shot over him. We have all seen it before in the MMA world, the fighter that can't win the fight. That separates him from contender to title challenger.

Don't get me wrong Anderson is an amazing fighter. He was on a four fight win streak coming into the Blachowicz fight. He just can't win the fight that separates him from the rest, we saw it with the two fights he had before where he faced Jimi Manuwa & Ovince St.Preux (A.K.A OSP). I think if Anderson wants to bounce back from this tough loss, he needs to humble himself. Focus on his game and come back stronger than ever.

Now onto the fighter that the MMA world thinks is Jon Jones next challenger, Jan Blachowicz. Do I believe Blachowicz is Jon Jones next fight? Well, I honestly think if they don't reschedule a rematch between Jones & Reyes, then yes, Jan is the guy up next to get that shot at Jon Jones. Blachowicz deserves it. He's the Cinderella story of the light heavyweight division. You can see major all around improvement in Blachowicz's game. Jan has seven wins in his last 10 fights, and also is riding a three fight win streak. But, we have to keep in consideration his most recent loss was a title contender in Thiago Santos, who did give Jones a run for his money.

I believe Blachowicz is the next guy who will fight Jones after the statement he made after knocking out Corey Anderson in the first round, who was originally the guy people thought was in line to fight Jones. Guess we will have to wait and see what Dana White and the UFC have in mind.

After scoring a big win over Ilir Latifi, Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis unexpectedly revealed some medical concerns that could potentially be life threatening, and affect his MMA career. When speaking with Ariel Helwani, Lewis revealed that there were some adverse findings in his medical evaluation prior to the bout against fellow heavyweight Latifi, which are potentially life threatening.

“My coach wanted me to get something checked out that came up in my medicals and stuff like that, that's been hindering my training,” said Lewis. “We're really supposed to keep it on the down low, but I got to get it checked out. The UFC doctors know what it is as well. So it's just something that's been going on that I still got to get addressed."

He also stated how serious the injury actually is towards his career and his health.

"Oh yeah, it's like a life or death situation serious, I'm dead serious. Yeah, yes. I'm dead serious,” Lewis said. “It's something that happens to lots of athletes, it don't matter if you’re healthy or not. It's something that can still happen to you at the drop of a hat. That's all I can say."

Let's hope we as MMA fans get to find out exactly what is wrong with Derrick Lewis, and get much more information. Hope "The Black Beast" has a speedy recovery.

Big things coming in the Bellator world. Gegard Mousasi vs Douglas Lima. The fight is set for May 9th in San Jose, California. This fight will be for the Bellator vacated Middleweight Belt. It's sad to see Rafael Lovato Jr. Have to step aside from MMA, do to his brain condition that could affect his MMA career.
