Originally from St. Albert, Ron has been involved in sports, specifically hockey, since he was 6 years old. His passion for the game led him to play 8 years of Rep Hockey in St. Albert and Edmonton from Atom to Midget AAA. He continued to play men’s leagues for several years, while becoming a Journeyman Industrial Electrician which he pursued for 15 years. The burning desire for hockey never reall
y left him as he coached his kids in hockey and always seemed to be around the game in some aspect. This desire led him to Stick Fix and the rest, as they say, is history. Ron completed the certification process becoming a Master stick technician and Professional Skate sharpener and decided to open a location right in his own backyard. “It makes sense for me to help my own community, get and fix pro stock sticks saving them hundreds of dollars. It's important to give everyone a proper professional and consistent skate sharpening locally, without parents having to drive to the other side of Edmonton.”
