Last night we attended the Island Outlaw 4s Mini Stock banquet. What an amazing spread at Junction Orchard & Cidery with food provided by The Keg.

Bailey finished the season 3rd in points and Sarah finished 4th.

Sarah tied with Sadie Ann for the Best Appearing Car.

The most deserving award went to Sarah for the Most Improved Driver. Sarah really found her groove this season and proved that she’s there to race! We look forward to watching Sarah’s successes in 2026.

Open Wheel Showdown 2025 recap

Now that we’re back in Victoria after logging nearly 5000 kms, we can reflect on our first attempt at the Open Wheel Showdown in Las Vegas.

We made setup changes in each practice session but in the end, we went back to almost how we unloaded. The majority of the gains came from learning the track and adjusting to the huge increase in hp and grip this track has.

Our qualifying efforts weren’t our best by any means and we ended up 30th.

We had a great starting position for our heat, starting on the inside. We gained some positions, finished 11th and learned even more being able to actually race.

Our starting position for the B Main was again on the inside putting us in a great place to gain positions.
We avoided some early wrecks, made up some positions and were in a position to transfer to the A Main when the motor decided to expire.

We had an amazing time, learned a ton and met a bunch of incredible people.

None of this would have been possible without our crew chief Spencer Carlson, Daryl Crocker, Stuart Ferguson, Alex Mouner, Bailey Meeres, Brodie Meeres, Sarah Plischke, Mikayla Mckenzie, Bart Smith,
Jarrod Heap, William Stidston, Shawn Suckling , Trace Stevenson and last, but definitely not least, my incredibly supportive wife Natalie Meeres.

The great businesses that supported our efforts
LD Industries and Performance Parts
Powerhouse Recycled Auto & Truck Parts Ltd.
M&B Sheet Metal
Fastlane Photography & Design
Island Powder Coating
PND Soil & Gravel Mart
Stu’s Liquid Solutions
Alpine Cords Engine & Machine
Alien Race Cars

We plan to regroup and hopefully make another attempt in 2026!!

I’m sorry to report that our motor expired on us.
