🚨 Maggy is back for year 2! 🚨

We’re thrilled to welcome Maggy Burbidge back to Sommer Hockey as an on-ice instructor.

After beginning the 2025-26 season as Head Coach of Mount Academy’s U18 female team and Assistant Coach of the U19 team, Maggy had the opportunity to continue her hockey journey with the Ottawa Charge in the PWHL. ✨

Maggy joins us in her commitment to development and to helping grow the female game. She makes an obvious impact on the ice and equally as important, is a fantastic role model off the ice.🙌

Maggy is joining us at all Sommer Hockey camps starting Aug 1!

Our U11 Female Day Camp is now open to players in the A & AA+ levels.

The camp runs August 3rd - 6th from 8:45am to 3:15pm at the Eliyahu Wellness Centre Canada Games Place Place des Jeux du Canada.

Players are on the ice twice daily with Coach Mike Sommer and off the ice they will focus on Mental Performance, nutrition, strength & conditioning. Sommer Hockey is focused on creating a fun & supportive environment where players can focus on development, competition, and growth. 🎯

We are so excited to welcome Tracey, owner of Reset:Breathe fitness, to our U13/U15 Day Camp this summer!

Tracey brings extensive experience in health, fitness, and performance, including certifications in personal training, Stott pilates, group fitness, spin instruction, and NCCP coaching. Most importantly, she believes in helpful athletes understand the "why" behind movement and performance.

Tracey will be an amazing addition to our off-ice programming this summer! 👏

Mike specializes in skill development and brings over a decade of experience working in high-performance camp environments. He brings an infectious energy and positive coaching style, along with a keen attention to detail and personalized individual instruction.

Off-ice, he's joined by Registered Clinical Counsellor & Certified Mental Performance Consultant, Keltie Sommer, who leads thoughtful conversations and activities on personal development and transferable strengths and skills.

Sommer Hockey's goal is to provide a positive, competitive, and development-focused experience to each camp and clinic.
