The Saint John Canada Games Foundation supports athletes so they are able to pursue excellence in sport. Athletes can apply for funding if they have potential to be the best in Canada, demonstrate a dedication to their sport, have special needs not covered through regular program fu ding, and cannot be subsidized by a national program.

Judo class start dates have been confirmed by the coaches. Email went out on TeamLinkt to those who have completed registration.

The following are when each class will start:

Kinder Class - September 13 at 10am

Intermediate/Advanced Class - September 14 at 7pm

Youth 1 Class - September 15 at 6pm

Youth 2 Class - September 15 at 7:10pm

Intermediate/Advanced Class

This class is for ages 9 (with orange belt or higher) to Adult. In this class they work on basic techniques but advance to a higher level of throws and grappling techniques.

At this stage we help promote those judokas interest in a higher level of competitiveness.

Our Youth 1 and Youth 2 classes are for young judokas 7-12 years of age from beginner to yellow/orange belt.

These classes teach the fundamentals of judo through fun activities. They also encourage
competitiveness through sportsmanship, hard work, and determination. Judokas develop a new set of skills and make long-lasting friendships.
