I got my ass out the door for a run today.

It was a step towards reminding myself that it just takes one step at a time.

It was hard!

And I had to tell myself as I slowed to a walk that some days our journey is easy, and sometimes it feels like you’re going nowhere fast.

But as Ian said when I got home ‘at least you got out!!’

With all the memes and positive quotes abundantly, uselessly floating about on the internet.

I think this might be the best lesson I’ve received recently.

Just get out. Give it your best shot.

Some days it’s going to feel like it’s a waste of time, that’s it’s an uphill battle. But as long as you take steps in the right direction it’ll get you to your dreams.

Want to run a marathon (I don’t btw, just love hanging with my dog and he loves running!) go for a run.

Want to build a side hustle..find something that aligns and take steps towards it.

Anything we want we can have we just have to keep taking steps.

Do you play enough? I've just posted our most recent episode of Riding In The Weeds Podcast and it's all about PLAY. And how when you are stuck in the weeds, this is one of the fastest ways out.

What's funny is I'm feeling a little blah...and when I reflect there has really been a lack of play in my life lately.

The irony as I'm writing the blog post that goes with the episode, and I'm reminded, oh yeah, that's what's missing.

So if you are feeling the grey weather blues, or stress of work getting you down, maybe you, like me, needed the reminder.

Turn off the screen, go hug the dog and maybe play a game of cards with your loved ones before picking up that phone:)

oh and tune in to the podcast!! We would love to hear what you think! Your comments, good or bad, help us refine our message and get it out to more people.

And of course get outside, for a ride, a walk, anything. Because without play and fun, what, really is the point of life!!

What’s in your cup??

Mine got knocked over this morning.

Doesn’t matter what the situation was, what’s interesting is how hard it hit me. It wasn’t really that big a deal, but it made me cry, got me angry, it fully threw me out of whack.

I let it move through me, felt it and now am sitting here wondering why did it push my button so hard.

Every moment, every experience we get is here for us to learn, grow, heal.

I've been scared to share what I'm up to. And then I realized that not sharing is actually scarier!

I sit down and record a Riding In The Weeds Podcast every week and then don't tell anyone because - I don't even know why. The idea is to help people step out of the weeds and into living their dream lives. Why would I not share - worst that'll happen is someone won't listen. Or they'll listen and it won't be for them.

Best thing that could happen is it could change someone's life....

Same with my wellness company business opportunity.

As my friend said to me...you can't say the wrong thing to the wrong person.

But what if you say the right thing to the right person and it changes their life...........

So ferry was super late, which made me super late…

As I was speed to the ferry I changed the story I had running…

Why did you leave it so long, why are you always pushing, you’re going to miss the ferry…to

When I get there will be the perfect time. And you know what???

It was!! Got the training I needed and instead of being on the ferry at 2:20, which will now be the 4pm ferry. I’m on the 1pm ferry which if it had been the 11:35 ferry (which is the real schedule) I’d have missed for sure.

Changing the story, can change your life!!

It’s interesting…

Just how many people perk up when you ask a question like the one I posted about making $20k before Christmas!!🎄

I’ve been playing small my whole life. It might not look like it, but I’m always taking calculated risks and I’ve created an amazing life that way.

But when I see what my friends and community that just make bold moves have created in the same time…

It makes me go F*** it. Why play if I’m not playing for reals??

Life is meant to be lived on the edge of our comfort zone. If we worry about all the things….life passes us by and we look at others and wonder 💭 how did they do it??

They just did!

No photos on the ride so this is me on the ferry home!
