What if self-sabotage is actually how your nervous system protects you?

That urge to people-please, shut down, or over-achieve?
It’s not weakness—it’s wisdom. Your body’s way of keeping you safe.

But when those patterns stop serving you,
it’s time to meet them with awareness—not shame or self-blame.

Healing begins with how you treat yourself now. 🩵

If you are a victim of abuse, this is for you. 🩵

As I'm preparing the December gatherings for the Inner Circle, I’ve been reflecting on our very first sessions last month. What a beautiful beginning.

The power of group dynamics never ceases to amaze me. In my 30+ years of facilitating groups, I’ve learned to trust the unfolding—to hold space for whatever needs to happen. And once again, that trust was deeply affirmed. Whatever showed up in the circle was exactly what was needed for the women who were there.

In Tuesday’s English-speaking session, we began with a somatic meditation to connect with where tension was held in the body. Then we moved into a guided SAT (Somatic Acupressure Technique) to help release it. One participant rated their tension at a 9 (on a scale from 0–10).
By the time we virtually hugged each other goodbye, it had dropped to a 0. 🌿

Thursday’s Dutch-speaking session had a different energy—just as powerful. No meditation or tapping this time, but instead, a deep sense of connection through shared healing stories and some gentle group coaching. The women who joined showed up fully for themselves and each other: strong in their vulnerability, and generous in holding space for one another.
The love was tangible, even while physically being a world apart.

What stood out in both sessions was the same:
The freedom to be in the moment—and to let unfold what needed to unfold.

I’m already counting down the days until we meet again next week.

If we haven’t met yet—hi, I’m Bo.

I’m a trauma-informed life coach for women who, like me, have lived through abuse, neglect, and/or generational trauma.

The Inner Circle was created for you.

A safe space for beautiful, strong women who share this lived experience.

We meet online once a month:
đź“… Every second Tuesday for the English-speaking group
đź“… Every second Thursday for the Duchies amongst us

It’s free to join. And you are welcome—just as you are.

Curious to join us? Or know someone who would be?
Send me a DM and I’ll send you the link to join. 💌

🛟 What started as a boat restoration turned into something much deeper. In peeling back the layers of our 1940s yacht, I found pieces of my own healing. This is a story about resilience, self-trust, and what happens when we tend to something with love—whether it’s a boat… or ourselves.

Restoring our 1940s boat, the Eslo, became more than a project—it mirrored my healing journey. With each layer of dust and wood rot I cleared, I uncovered strength, self-trust, and unexpected peace. This story is about rebuilding from the inside out—one task, one moment at a time. ⚓
