This weekend I attended the Alberta Cheerleading Association Awards Gala and Coaching Conference.
One thing that really stood out to me was learning how many people continue to support and shape cheerleading outside of owning a gym, coaching a team, or competing as an athlete. There are so many ways to stay involved, give back, and help our sport continue to grow.
As I navigate life after Rocky Rush, it was a timely reminder that closing one chapter doesn’t always mean closing the book. As my friend Corey Fakeley said to me this season, I’m just taking off one hat and putting on another.
While I’m not exactly sure what the future holds, I do know that cheerleading has been a huge part of my life for over a decade. I’m grateful for the opportunities, friendships, and experiences it has given me, and I’m excited to see where the next chapter leads and how I can continue to support the cheer community in new ways.
Thank you Nicole Pearse & Travis for heavily encouraging me to still attend this weekend, I’m glad i did! Always happy to visit with my cheer friends 💕
