๐ REMIX YEARโEND SHOWS โ THANK YOU! ๐
๐ WOKE UP this morning already missing our three Remix YearโEnd shows, while we all need so much rest right now, Iโm still on a high and feeling so joyful and proud. Thereโs a weird, amazing feeling at our shows thatโs hard to explain, itโs what keeps our teachers and I coming back year after year: watching everything we work on all year come to life and sharing those proud moments with all our friends and families. All the long rehearsals, small wins, and friendships formed suddenly make sense, itโs the payoff for all the time we put in.
๐ SO MANY EMOTIONS happen at once at these shows, we laugh, we cry, and powerful feelings often mix together. Sometimes itโs hard to watch students who are leaving us get emotional; they often feel like theyโre leaving part of their family, because thatโs what Remix is. Itโs painful to watch, but weโre also so proud and grateful for all the time they spent with us and happy for them as they begin a new chapter in their life. Those moments stick with us, the long hugs, and the quiet goodbyes remind us why we do this.
๐ TO OUR STUDENTS: watching you perform everything youโve worked on all year was the highlight. You brought heart, confidence, and so much growth to the stage. Sometimes the practices can feel long and tough, but thereโs a reason so many of you come back year after year, that endโofโyear buzz at the shows and competitions makes it all worth it. Itโs the silly backstage memories with your friends, the excitement, the shared nerves, and then the rush when the music drops and you own the stage. Getting to go out there, be yourself, and really express who you are, feeling like a superstar for those few minutes is what itโs all about. Seeing how proud you are of yourselves was the best part; you made us all so proud.
๐ฅฐTO OUR TEACHERS AND COACHES: you deserve your own thank you. Every year you surpass my expectations. The amount of time, love, and care you pour into every single person you teach is incredible to see. Iโm always moved by the true dedication you show in rehearsals, in competitions, in shows, and in those extra moments that donโt make the schedule but mean the world. You are one of the main reasons Remix is what it is today: a dance school that truly feels like a family, where kids feel supported and free to come out and dance and do what they love.
๐ฌ HUGE SHOUTOUT to everyone working behind the scenes; stage crew, tech, team leaders, dressingโroom coordinators, all the volunteers, and the parents who generously donated their time. The long hours, quick problemโsolving, and quiet attention to every detail kept everything on track and made those seamless moments possible. All your help made the whole show come together.
๐ค A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to our host, Roch Perrault. Roch has been hosting my shows for almost 20 years, and I honestly couldnโt ask for a better person for the job. Heโs amazing with the kids and great with the crowd, always taking time to chat with students backstage, make connections, and keep things light and fun. Heโs funny, patient, and somehow manages to bring the perfect energy every single time. Iโm so grateful that after all these years he still gives up time from his busy family life to host all three shows. Thank you, Roch, you make the whole night that much better.
๐ช AND TO THE PARENTS, FRIENDS, AND FAMILY who came to cheer, thank you. Your support made the students feel seen and celebrated, and that encouragement means the world.
๐ THREE AMAZING SHOWS, so many beautiful memories. Thank you to everyone who made this yearโs Remix shows possible, I canโt wait to do it all again.
