Riverhurst Walleye Classic The Riverhurst Walleye Classic is a catch and release fishing tournament held annually on Father's Day weekend on beautiful Lake Diefenbaker.

The annual Walleye Classic is held every Father's Day Weekend. 2022 will be the 32nd year for this community event which will be June 18 & 19. Prizes are based on a 100 boat field with 25 cash payouts plus many merchandise prizes. We typically have entries from Sask., Alberta, Ont., BC.,and the USA. The tournament fills up very quickly so stay posted for registration forms.

Anglers, please be cautious when participating in the tournament.
We had to disqualify a team this morning for submitting three fish over the slot limit…. This is in contravention of the rules of the tournament and also in contravention of the Saskatchewan Fishing regulations.
Please ensure you are measuring your fish to ensure we do not have any more issues.

A Huge Thank You to everyone ahead of our 36th Annual Riverhurst Walleye Tournament. This event would not be possible without an amazing community full of helpful volunteers and generous sponsors!

Please see the teams below, we still have room for a few last minute entries. There is always time to get your best friend and come on out for a weekend of great fishing and fantastic memories.

You don't need a rod and reel to join the fun at the Riverhurst Arena. The Riverhurst Library is putting on a fantastic raffle table and silent auction with incredible items up for grabs! Country Hills Catering is serving up a delicious supper every single night—definitely a meal to look forward to!

Best of all, your support directly helps raise money to maintain essential community facilities like our local rink and community hall. Come on out, enjoy some great food, and support a great cause!

Looking for an easy weekend supper plan? Come join us at the Riverhurst Arena during the 2026 Riverhurst Walleye Classic weekend! Everyone in the community is invited to come grab a plate.

From June 19th to 21st, we are serving up delicious, comforting meals including Roast Chicken on Friday, Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding on Saturday, and a classic Ham & Perogy supper on Sunday. All meals come with salads, sides, dessert, and drinks!

⏱️ Note the times: Friday & Saturday are 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, and Sunday is an earlier start from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM.
