Quick 3 hr fish and found a couple keeper hatchery coho. Released a few wild ones aa well as too many Chinook salmon to keep count of. A bucket of dungeness crabs is always welcome aboard.

The annual cycle of feeding over 100,000 Chinook Salmon smolts in the net pen adjacent to the Department of Fisheries and Oceans laboratory in West Vancouver is underway. The smolts originated from eggs at the Chilliwack Hatchery and were hatched at the Capilano Hatchery. For over 15 years, members of the Vancouver Sports Fishing Guides Association have been volunteering their time to set up the pen, feed the smolts daily for three weeks, and subsequently dismantle the pen after releasing the smolts into the ocean. All the net pen smolts have been clipped and a Coded Wire Tag inserted into their head for data recovery of their migration and return to West Vancouver 4 yrs from now.

Bass fishing Father and son team visiting from Toronto getting their first experience salmon fishing. Smiles all around catching, DNA sampling and releasing beautiful bright chrome Chinook. WCFT usual suspects of white glow hootchies and SexE 69 spoons matched with Electro Mirror and Luminate flashers.
