Steveston Karate Club We are one of Canada's most famous traditional Karate dojos. Classes available for kids, teens, and adults of all skill levels. Founded in 1973 by Mr.

Steveston Karate Club is one of Canada's oldest and most well-established schools of traditional Karate. Takeshi Uchiage, the club has produced numerous champions at the provincial, national, and international level. We train in the iconic Steveston Martial Arts Centre, located in Richmond, BC, along with our friends and neighbors: the Steveston Kendo Club and Steveston Judo Club. Steveston Karate

Club is also the hombu dojo (headquarters) of the Goju-Ryu Uchiage-Kai Association, with member clubs around the world. We have classes for all ages, and also operate the Thompson Karate Club in the Thompson Community Centre in Richmond. Our lineage:

The Steveston Community Society provides an annual scholarship to each of our two catchment high schools – Steveston-London and R.A. McMath – to support a graduate who intends to pursue a post-secondary education in the field of recreation or similar program, and who best exemplifies the “Spirit of Steveston” by having a well-rounded record of service to the community.
