We're excited to announce the hiring of our U15-A3 Head Coach - Steve Yip. We are excited to have Steve back for the 2026/27 season with the Rep program. Steve has over 20 years of coaching experience and hockey knowledge both on and off the ice. He has a comprehensive understanding of the Richmond Jets ethos of development and hockey excellence. Steve will provide a valuable bridge between the U13 and U15 age divisions. This being the first year for a U15A3 team, it is vital to establish a high precedence at this level. Steve's professionalism and credibility will be a welcomed addition to the Richmond Jets rep coaching team. Please welcome Steve Yip as the U15-A3 Head coach.

The Richmond Sockeyes Need Your Help!

Billet families are the anchor of Junior Hockey, and the Sockeyes are calling on the Richmond hockey community — Jets, Ravens, and Riptide families — to step up for the season ahead.

Hosting a Sockeyes player means opening your home to a young athlete chasing a dream, and gaining a friend for life in return.

🏠 What you'll provide:
A private bedroom, nutritious meals & a caring, supportive home

🎁 What you'll receive:
💵 Monthly stipend up to $750/player
🎟️ Season tickets to all home games
🎉 Invites to the Year-End Banquet & team events
🤝 A first-hand connection to the Sockeyes community

📅 Players arrive mid-August through late March (possibly into May)

Weeks 3 & 4 of our Summer Skills & Prep Camps are still open, and spots are filling fast! Led by Hockey Director Linden Saip and our team of Jets skills coaches.

📅 Week 3 (Aug 17–21) & Week 4 (Aug 24–28) - All sessions at Richmond Ice Centre
💰 $250 per player · 5 sessions (Mon–Fri)

Introducing the Junior Jets Program, a great start to a lifelong journey on the ice! 🏒✨

This brand new program is designed for children new to hockey (2022 birth year only) and focuses on skills training only, no games, no pressure, just building confidence and having fun.

📅 Runs September to March
⏱️ 2 sessions per week, 45 minutes each (40 sessions total)
🎯 Skills training only
💰 2026/2027 fees: $500.00 (new players only)

Big news out of the officiating world: Richmond’s own Jonathan Gomes is taking the next step in his journey, joining the WHL as an Official!

Jonathan came up through Richmond Jets hockey, and it’s been incredible watching him grow from player to referee to now officiating at the Western Hockey League level. This is a huge accomplishment and a proud moment for our entire Jets family.

A journey like this doesn’t happen alone. Thank you to BC Hockey for the training, development, and pathway that helped get him here — and congrats to all the mentors, coaches, and support system along the way. Here’s to all the new connections and games ahead.
