Making "The Benefits of Health and Fitness" a priority!
It is vitally important to recognize the "Benefits of Health and Fitness" and make them a priority.
There are many benefits derived from:
regular participation in health and fitness programs ...
.. that are offered in our Beautiful community of Steveston Village.
Fitness training and healthy nutritional programs contribute to ...
... a lifestyle that greatly assists us in dealing with various stressors that we may experience in our lives.
It is essential to make attempts to reduce the everyday stressors and find healthy ways to cope.
Sadly, the correlation between stress and illness is indisputable.
Today, not only do we face the everyday stressors,
but now we must face tremendous uncertainty.
Uncertainty, in itself, is a cause for stress.
News stories are filled with tragic events that one has little control over as random events unfold.
In a climate of skyrocketing and dangerously over inflated housing prices , we may face a level of uncertainty and fear.
Wages are way out of sync with the housing markets.
The high cost of housing and the lack of affordable/suitable rental accommodation is causing people a great deal of distress.
The need to obtain affordable and sustainable shelter is a major issue for individuals and families.
Our need to obtain shelter (is now becoming threatened), and seemingly, unattainable.
How our government can remedy this " shelter stressor" remains to be seen.
The question now is how do we cope?
While a walk along Garry Point ...
enjoying the reality of a sunset
or (playing Pokemon Go and engaging in an augmented reality)...
or while cycling along the beautiful scenic pathways ..
These activities may not solve the devastating dilemmas of housing issues and acts of terrorism that face not only our present society, but our future generations...
our most valuable legacy...
We can find solace as such:
that the beauty of our city remains,
as our freedom to enjoy healthy activities that bring us peace remain.
So as in Making "The Benefits of Health and Fitness" a priority, will help us to cope and find new insights to deal with any obstacles.
We will feel stronger physically, mentally and spiritually and will be better equipped to tackle whatever comes our way!
