Renfrew Badminton Club Update!

We’re pumped to announce that badminton is returning to the Armouries on Tuesday, October 7th at 6:00 PM!

✅ All ages welcome
✅ Kids under 12 must bring an adult teammate

And don’t forget, the fun continues every Thursday at 6:00 PM at the Renfrew MyFM Centre, running all year long!

See you on the court, let’s serve up another awesome season together!

Tuesday, April 29, 2025, was our final Badminton night at the Armouries for the season!

Thanks to everyone who came out, don’t forget to keep your rackets ready, and we’ll see you back at the Armouries in the Fall, first week of October.

If you’re still keen to play after April 29th, throughout the summer, Renfrew Parks and Recreation will continue to host badminton at the myFM Centre, Home Hardware Gymnasium on Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Renfrew sweeps the Valley Tournament!

The Findlay Cup Tournament, first awarded in 1931, is the OG of Ottawa Valley badminton. It’s been passed between clubs for nearly a century, and this year, our A Division Renfrew Findlay team defended home court and after 23 years brought the cup home!

The Wiser Cup joined the mix in 1960 to create a second level of play with the B Division, giving even more athletes a shot at glory. Renfrew’s B squad stepped up big time and snagged that trophy too! The last time Renfrew won this trophy was 2014.

Shout out to our amazing fellow clubs from Arnprior, Pembroke, Petawawa, and Deep River who competed this year and brought the heat, the hustle, and the heart. We loved hosting you and can’t wait to rally again next season!

Tonight marked the end of our season at the Armouries, we’ll see you back the first week of October. Rest up, recharge, and keep your racquets close!

If you are still looking for Badminton during our off-season, badminton is on Thursday nights, 6PM to 9PM at MyFM center.

Renfrew Badminton Club is excited to welcome everyone back to the Armouries for our regular Tuesday night badminton starting on October 1, 2024, at 6 PM. The drop-in fee is $5 at the door. All ages are welcome, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us on Thursday evenings for a weekly dose of racquet action at the myFM Centre Home Hardware Gymnasium! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started, our courts are open for all skill levels.

📅 Thursday Evenings March 7th-28th
⏰ 6:00 pm-9:00 pm
📍 myFM Centre: Home Hardware Gymnasium – 1 Ma-te-Way Dr. Renfrew

Participants should bring a badminton racket, and a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. Indoor court shoes are recommended, but indoor running shoes are acceptable.

No racket? No problem! We've got a stash of high-quality rackets available for borrowing. Shuttlecocks and all other equipment is provided.

$4.50+ HST/3-Hour Session (Resident Rate)
$6.75 +HST/3-Hour Session (Non-Resident)
* Resident rate applies to those that live in: Renfrew, Admaston/Bromley, Greater Madawaska, Horton, McNab/Braeside.

*For adults, seniors, and teens.

Join us at the Renfrew Armouries, 115 Veterans Memorial Blvd, every Tuesday evening at 6PM for drop in Badminton. $5 cash per person for the evening, at the door. All ages are welcome, children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Invitation from Arnprior Badminton Club

Hi Renfrew Badminton Club,

We wanted to extend an invitation to play in Arnprior at the Nick Smith Center. Our new schedule runs Sunday and Tuesday evenings from 7:30-10:30 pm all summer.

Drop in’s welcome. However, it is best to create an account and register in advance to secure your place to play, as spots fill up quickly. We currently have a 20-player maximum per evening.

New - youth welcome. There is no longer an age restriction at this time. We play in the arena, slab surface B.

Don’t forget your clean indoor shoes and a water bottle.

There are currently 16 spots open for tonight – May 2, 2023

The Findlay and Wiser Cup Badminton tournaments were played at Dundonald Hall, Garrison Petawawa on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Renfrew Badminton Club came in second in the Findlay Cup and came up short in the Wiser. It was a great way to wrap up our season, we are already looking forward to next year!
